SPOILERS Probably been said already, but I'll try to remember a few questions although I'm not hip with the character names: - Clu is 2nd generation from 1988, played of course by a 'younger' Flynn which seemed to be pulled off well - Too many Daft Punk questions... Didn't answer but got Freudian slips on them being in film, and they did the trailer track although to me it didn't sound like their stuff from what little i've heard (my guess they got some assistance - or moving in new directions?) - Flynn's been gone, Flynn's son is the one driving the bike in the real world doing stunts, trying to find father - Cindy Morgon not in film, but in Tron universe (what does that mean?) - Glow suits are not computer generated, they are 'glow fabric' - electroluminecent? - MCP not in new film, replaced by more modern 'server' - I'll add more as they come back to me, or ask me a question it could have been asked Afterword I sat out there with my son, being my age when I saw the 1st one. Lisberger and Kosinski were out talking freely to fans for a while, really nice people. I was suprised how young Kosinski was (and told him haha). We ended up with a poster, shirts, and a ticket autographed by both guys! Oh ya, for the heck of it we did the blacklight thing with shirts/posters/bands - nutin. Nothing you'll probably get out of the clip either, had a screen full of numbers etc but no way you'll remember anything, i seriously doubt they'd put arg stuff in the trailer. Another thing - no jerk cam, natural 3d, very nice, quite unlike Avatar. Very happy about that. ...[/url]

In the first place, the MCP was deleted/destroyed in the original movie, and personally, I would've hated seeing the MCP in this one...

All in all, awesome recap and very cool info Daddyo! You didn't let us down... Now, if only ShadowDragon could provide us with a hidden cam video, I could derezz a happy program...

I had no camera hidden or anything. Heck security made me bag and check in to security custody my Nintendo DS lite, wireless head phones (oh noes it's blu tooth, audio headphones that cant record anything is such a risk! oh noes), and a 10 y.o model of a cell phone, NONE of those can record any video of anykind.

thanks, I read the review from latino review which was fairly descriptive. He mentioned that there's a red warrior in it, which is pretty cool because I thought somehow they all turned "blue" after the mcp was destroyed in the original movie. I am really looking forward to seeing the preview at the theatre.

Hey, all. I was at the London screening - while we didn't get the bennies of a replay or a Q&A like you lucky LA chaps, at least we had the honour of being first in the world to see it...
And of course, the Flynn Lives t-shirts are cool. Has anyone scanned the shirts with a UV blacklight for hidden codes?
Despite being a short-but-sweet experience, it was still great to see the trailer with an audience of fans; I dusted off my Adicolor jacket for the day and spotted plenty of Encom, Flynn's Arcade and Tron shirts among the crowd.
And was that Recognizer cool, or what?

LOL.Well they have to be after what happened at comic con.

I know it can seem harsh, but they're doing it all for good reasons.

The security at D23 was like this too. Practically had to strip before you could go in. Then we get inside and 50 people light up with phones around me. Security guys were shutting them down left and right.

If People had more respect that wouldn't be necessary.

New York really got the shaft. We tried to chant as loud as we could for them to play the trailer a second time and an usher just yelled at us to form a line and leave the theater.

I had this friggen hipster girl sitting behind me gloating to her boyfriend how they had been to Comic Con and saw the trailers, met the cast and went to Flynn's Arcade. When the trailer ended she had the balls to say "Heh! If these people thought they were going to get more then the trailer, then they need to have their heads examined!"

When I got out a couple of people complained to the two girls that were checking us in. I heard the one girl say that the site said it was just the trailer, but I chimed in saying the site had nothing of the sort. I saw people even buy huge tubs of popcorn and drinks, now if we knew it was just going to be the trailer, why would they even buy something to eat?

While I loved the trailer and it's got me more excited to see the movie in December I still felt pissed off. I live on Long Island so I had to get up at 6am to get to the theater. There were also people from Boston, Florida and one person said they came all the way from CANADA to see this. Plus since I'm a chubby boy, they didn't have any XXL Shirts, but I got one anyway.

Disney doesn't really have to sell me on this, they had me at the word Tron. So while I loved the trailer, I think they could have done a much better job letting everybody know what we in for then just throwing up a trailer and telling us to go.
