Hahahaha. Yeah, I'm used to looking at the title of the movie and choosing to opt out on 80% of them on that channel.

I need better satellite programming than what I have, seems like the channels are disappearing! I didn't sign up for disappearing channels..

Yeah I'm a SG1 fan too. The first part of SGU was interesting(started the weekend before last), the second part sucked bad. They walked around on sand dunes the whole hour, or was it two... dunno.. Other than that, I usually just watch Nitro Circus, comedy central, or history channel.

As for Cartoon Network, I liked it better when they use to show Loony Toons.... I'm not paying extra for Boomerang.

Cartoon Network was really, really awesome back in the 90's. Most of my 90's childhood consisted of Loony Toons on Cartoon Network. Anyone remember the June Bugs marathons?

Now they're just trying to be Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon is trying to be Disney Channel.

Disney Channel is a bunch of faux-sitcoms with terrible CGI, singing, and scriptwriting. I don't think anything could be more unoriginal.

Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network in the 90's. Effing awesome.

Ahhh, yes Gumby. What an icon. But if I might say so myself, Nickelodeon had it going when our D -List stars of today were prime as teens...I'm talking about early All That, and that one slime game show they had....oh boy. Even then, Nick at Nite had some wonderful things on that were worth watching.

it was kinda disappointed that the whole earth wouldn't be able to survive throughout all those years, but hey, its a matter of time before a new season starts.

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day. I got in.

Does anyone like it? Does anyone else hate it?

I might appreciate it more if they would actually play the original on it once every blue moon. Probably not, but I still wish they'd play Tron on it.

I hate it, too - and I also have to ask, "WTF does WRESTLING have to do with sci-fi movies?????" Some of these decisions made by TV executives never seem to amaze me. . . . . . .just like when G4 turned into a pay channel and then it was no longer just about videogames, but a bunch of crappy Maxim and Playboyesque programming. Don't get me wrong - I like Women, but I don't want that on a channel that's SUPPOSED TO BE DEVOTED TO VIDEOGAMING.

you know they dont do much sci-fi shows considering what they could do, whenever i wana watch somthin its always tales from the dark side, the old twilight zone, or some vampire series, theres at least 7-8 shows i have not ever seen on sci-fi, they only play ST: enterprise and voyager but only after 11 PM, and yea wrestling shouldn't be on sci-fi

I don't know if anyone remembers their promo but around Christmas early in the millennium they had the Sci-Fi Santa which was a purple three eyed alien dressed in a Santa outfit... It was funny but they did it to promote their marathons or old sci-fi movies for December...

Then they brought him back on memorial day.. lol... and he said, "I'm the Sci-Fi Santa, and it's Memorial day. I'm not suppose to be here but I showed up anyway......"

I liked it, it was really funny.. Still can't find a video on youtube of him yet.. lol

My problem with SyFy is that they really don't show enough classic SciFi.

Agreed. Sure there are the occasional gems, but much of the material I seem to see is... well... modern day B movie Garbage, and not even the 'could probably have fun with it B movie garbage. This is the kind of crap that the actors are trying to be taken seriously in.

Sure Dungeon Siege was a flop, but the actors were obviously well aware that it was a dud and seemed to enjoy themselves in the production... and it showed.

Most 'SyFy' made for tv garbage... has overly serious attempts at acting ruining what would be otherwise perfectly fun and acceptable camp.

I watched scifi channel mainly for Lexx, BSG and Ghost Hunters. Lexx and BSG were fun to watch until the series conclusions. Then numerous claims surfaced that Ghost Hunters has been and continues to fake alot of the paranormal "evidence". I completely lost interest when they decided to do a reality crap show Ghost Hunters Academy. BLAH.

Most if not all of the movies on syfy are really bad throwbacks to the old 50's army vs monster movies.

Loving this thread...

I have to say though, my most fond memories of SciFi will always be from Mystery Science Theather 3000. Having absolutly NO life in high school in the 90's this WAS my Saturday night while other kids were doing quite less innocent things, lol.

Also, a couple of points here and there...

I have seen Tron on SciFi once or twice but not nearly as often as I would like (I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it being a Disney film and I'm guessing it may cost more than SciFi is willing to pay to air the movie on a semi-regular basis).

Thank you also to the users who have answered my silent ponderings of whether or not the new BSG and Caprica are worth my time. I just watched the complete original BSG on Netflix and am now totally into but was a little weary of the new stuff knowing SciFi was behind it.

As for The Last Starfighter...I love this movie, along with Tron, I used to watch this all of the time when I was young and I'm telling you, pick up the dvd for the 8 or 9 bucks, totally worth it to have at your fingertips whenever you want to watch it and there is a little bonus behind the scenes mini documentary on the film hosted by "Alex". Not the greatest bonus feature ever but a total plus if you are a fan of the film.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
