I really don't have much else to add. Just watch it. I could only watch half until it pissed me off too much and I closed it.

hahaha.. that must be a joke, because they're just not convincing anyone they actually believe in God. It just looks like a couple kids from drama class acting like the "typical" take on kids in church from an outsiders pov.

But you know.. if that was genuine, those kids have alot to learn. hahah. Most of the christians are like that to me, I'm sure if I learned many other religions there would be people teaching "the path" equally as ingenuine to me, some people don't have a lick of common sense when they read something, and question how it can be to other people who are preaching from a book, without taking history and the anthropological system built into them as they speak the context of what they "believe". No things are not "I have faith therefore I am". Unfortuately, that is something rare in people in general. I doubt people who think they know the biblical Jesus even know anything about him because of the code many of the scribes used back then.
I could babble about this stuff all night too, but why bother.

People have a hard time wrapping their head around something they believe is completely theory of faith, so they either think people are stupid who attempt to, or they define things their own way, which may be equally as stupid. I just had to endure alot of teachings and doctrines to get to where I could find you have to know the people as if you've known them 100% and that's the beginning - and start to learn what was really being instructed by a teacher.

hehe, yeah if it is a joke or like a satire of Christians then they sure arn't the greatest actresses.

But if it is true then I am at a lose as to what causes this kind of stuff in kids. Is it the education? Do American schools teach about other religions apart from Christianity?

what causes this stuff in kids is that their parents have become less personal, more slave to the system, and ignore what life used to be because they think what's important is "privelages" dictated by a broken system.

Everyone has to begin in an environment for them to learn or they just do what others do by instinct, and hopefully if this person doesn't pollute their life with things that are a cancer to society. then people like them become the real fabric of this society, and respectful to the beauty in life.

I don't know about the current curriculum in public schools here, I don't keep up with that subject. But it seems doomed to me. I don't believe the gov. should be allowed to babysit children with thier track record.

The private schools may have the various religious doctrines, but I've never seen one that is open minded enough to allow multi-cultural teaching w/ religion in mind.

America...is a big place. People aren't the brightest everywhere you go. You may have some nuts over in the UK, I'm sure, because as we all can establish we have plenty here. xD

But this video definitely seems like a portrayal. I still have some faith in the humanity in this country, because from what I figure nobody would actually do that to a friend. xD (Between you and me somebody who is really like that wouldn't even dare befriend somebody different)

So, all I say: keep the faith. At least for us rational beings.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Here's a story of my youth for you:

I have a problem with people like this too, see - I got made fun of when I was at a new christian private school, at age five or six.

These two boys thought they were so coo, and perhaps thought (I looked like "Mo" from the three stooges) my haircut was funny. Directing other kids to laugh and make me feel bad. (first day). Apparently they didn't know I get picked on by much smarter people... but that's my first violent act.. ha!

I never met such idiots since then, but what happened was, I poked the kid in the head with a pencil. I didn't think I was going to hurt him, but um, it was cosmetic- hehe.

...never went back to that school, aparently full of hypocrites.

Also... I didn't want to start a war by looking at this kid and laughing at him thinking of a pencil sticking out of his head, either.

I can only imagine some horror stories some people have in much worse situations here and abroad.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I didn't watch the whole thing, and stopped somewhere after the first minute. Either that's fake, to get a rise out of people, or just pathetic if it's real.

And is this the way some of the youth speak these days? Every other word being "like" in every sentence? (Either that, or the F-bomb?) Actually, wait. No need to answer that. I know it is. When I hear kids talking like this, I just shake my head in disgust. Then when I see them write comments online with their atrocious grammar - where they can't even string a decent sentence together - I shake my head some more.

But it's the internet.

Without their terrible grammar skills and complete inabilities to have a friendly conversation with random people they don't know, we wouldn't have anything to laugh at?

Or at least, not as much.

I'll use Yahoo Answers as an example:

Question: how can I get ghost powers like Danny phantom?

And one of the answers:

you could try dieing, but that might not work

SEE HOW FUNNY IT IS?

I've also noticed that children on the internet (in particular, those in the 6-8 range), generally do not understand how to correctly use the shift key. It's almost always one of these two:

1) Shift is never used
2) Shift is always used

And then there's the Steam forums.

To put things simply, you know the writing you see on the walls in Left 4 Dead? Like this:

"WE ARE THE REAL MONSTERS"
"no thats the zombies"
"HAVE YOU BEEN OUTSIDE JACKASS?"
"think its them stupid"
"HOPE YOU ARE DEAD NOW"
"i miss the internet"

Valve revealed that they actually got the inspiration for those from the Steam forums.

Don't you just love the internet?

Yep couldn't take it past "Are you Asian or are you African", my kid is eight years old and knows India is in Asia, and we don't know a single Indian personally (amazing considering their numbers).

When I was in high school there was this guy Mike who went from drug abusing teen sexing fiend to reborn christian overnight. We spent two years arguing. Apparently he had his youth group praying for my soul.

So I'm working at 7-11, about 12 hours into a shift one morning when his youth minister comes in, an overweight 40 something year old man, and in front of about six other customers starts telling me he loves me.
Then I get phone calls "I love you Bill, you know that".

WTF?!?!

Science has shown that people who are heavily leaning left or right politically, and people who support religion without evidence or evidence contrary to their claims are stimulating the same parts of the brain as cocaine.

They are getting high from their own self deceptions.
It's the same effect pathological liars get from their lies, a pleasure high of "I'm so right" and "Believe me".

You can see it in their eyes. Just take two rooms, give one person in the room an eight-ball, and have the other person minister their religion too you.

The eight-baller will have this wide glassy eyed stare as they tell you "Everyone else is so full of it and they know what they are doing and are so awesome", and the other will have the same look as they tell you "Every other path is a deceptive illusion and only their god/leader knows the true way."

Both will be grinning from ear to ear if you agree with what you say, and both may go off into a fit if you disagree. Both will develop some paranoia of an entity that is out to get them, you and and everyone.

This behavior is developed from childhood, it can be prevented.

It's like feeding sweets to children, they will grow up with their brains desiring sweets. So don't raise children will beliefs that are pure illusion like Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, and magical messiahs that vanish into the clouds, it only develops a need for the fantasy belief fix to find pleasure in life.

WTF?!?!

Some people can be really creepy about what they interpret what they read/learn/imagine.

Some of what you say, I might enjoy debating, and issues in general, I also take anyone to task who thinks seriously enough, to reprove that there's new ground or info to be aware of. That's why we have science. But I wouldn't water it down like you have, just me..

@iGame3D
That's a rather far fetched look at it and I must add that not all religious people are exactly like that. All religions have followers of varying degrees of strictness and fanaticism. Might I point you to you the incorrect and retarded stereotype of Muslims as having beards, jumping up and down, waving AK-47s and crying out what sounds like "WALLA WALLA WALLA WALLA!".

Religion gives people meaning in life and I still believe a multi-faith world CAN exist despite the evidence against it and the difficulty of achieving such a thing. Pointing a trembling finger at religion and calling it backwards and illogical is a direct mirror to what religious groups did to science. Just the natural human dislike of change and things that are different.

Every Christmas day I am reminded of this. Though I may not celebrate Christmas (I'm Muslim) I like how it brings people together and as I sit and watch shitty Christmas day TV specials, I think of how happy the day has made a lot of people, whether they are religious or not.

That's a media generated image to dehumanize the target of American and Israeli bombs. The public won't support the obliteration of a people if they are portrayed as "just like you".

The media won't sell my view that all religious people are delusional, it will cost them advertisers and viewers.

Sure we can't generalize all religious people as being fanatics, but one thing we should all be able to agree on is all religious people hold a belief of make believe things based on zero evidence.

data_ghost Wrote: Pointing a trembling finger at religion and calling it backwards and illogical is a direct mirror to what religious groups did to science. Just the natural human dislike of change and things that are different.

Science has a method of proving or disproving what it states, religion however doesn't. Science has theories, that can be proven incorrect, or maintain their status as "just another theory", religion has dogma that is accepted with zero proof.

Let's take your religion for instance at the foundation of which is the belief that a prophet was visited by an angel and received the word's of a god. What proof do you have that angels or a god exist?

The religious accept both without proof because it gives them pleasure, it stimulates dopamine receptors. When asked to submit proof the religious then proceed to rationalize and create imaginary proof because the lie also brings pleasure, to work against the lie brings displeasure, and initiates withdrawal symptoms.

Wait what? Getting and receiving gifts stimulates a pleasure response, spending time with people in the cold of winter stimulates a pleasure response, eating food is the single most pleasurable thing a human can do outside of sex, again this is all dopamine in action, not some mystical force.

If it wasn't for the commercialization of Christmas, you would never even know it exists. Santa Claus, baby Jesus, virgin birth, angels, christmas spirits, Scrooge, elves, all imaginative, story telling crafted an re-crafted to produce a desired emotional response, ideally to sell more product.

Belief in any of it is pure delusion for the satisfaction of those pleasure seeking dopamine receptors.

Firstly I was not comparing religion and science. They both serve to do different things: science to find the what and the how, religion to find the why. Religion cannot be criticised as having an unscientific method in the same way Stephen Hawkins cannot be expected to find the meaning of life. The two aren't striving for the same things and thus won't use the same methods.

Right so the happiness of Christmas is not entirely due to religion these days, but it's thanks to religion that Christmas is around.

And thirdly the main point in religion is to have faith, that leap into the unknown without solid proof. Now I could say the various holy books are proof in themselves but they are never going to be treated as proof by atheists so I won't go down that path. Even if you think people are stupid or wrong to put faith like this into something that may well not be true, let me just put it this way:

at the end of the day that's their decision. It doesn't affect you or anyone else in society. If someone else wants to join in and do the same, then that's free will.

Your reaction to it is understandable. Something uncontrolable and unquantifiable makes you panic and react negatively towards because if it is true, it means you are not in control of your life and have to start doing inconvenient things like praying.

So with all of the lack of logic and sense in it, is it really worth going against? I'm not condoning being an extreme theist but maybe being open to the idea would be better. I don't know about anyone else but spewing out cold scientific arguments are just as repulsive as spewing out fiery religious nonsense. So I would recommend to anyone to not be completely closed on either way. Agnostic FTW.

iGame, I would think that your brain is getting some positive pleasure response in trying to strike us down with hard logic.

But look at it this way. Some of us choose what we want to believe. Sure, it sounds irrational. But that doesn't stop in our beliefs. Regardless of whether I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster (God CAN take that form, technically) or not, I know I'm still a good person. I know I make rational decisions.

So let my faith and spirituality be encompassed in my beliefs, and let my rationality and judgment be placed with science. And don't think for a second this is just about giving ourselves pleasure, because I'll be damned if I was to be belittled as an airhead of sorts.

Now then, can we try NOT to making this topic all about "RELIGION IS EVEL LAH" and move on with our lives? :Pwhere to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online
