Hi,
Is there anybody out there who can make a mod which changes the Field of View in TRON 2.0?
I'd like to make a video of gameplay on my invention, the jDome, but I can't change the FOV.

when you say field of view, you're referring to widescreen? There is a fix that worked well made by Anderson, I'd have to ask him if his version is finished though. The easy fixes won't cut it from what I'm told.
I'll see if he's still around, maybe he can assist you.
edit, just talked with him, he said he hasn't worked on it, the configs are in the ATTRIBUTES folder, the FOVX and FOVY work, but the HUD items and menu items have to be config'd. That's all I can help with atm.

I believe changing the FOV has something do with the source code of the game, which I'm afraid is something that we do not have. However, you can check with TronFAQ, as he knows absolutely everything about the game and if someone were to figure out how to do it, it would definitely be him.

You asked this question over a year ago, but at that time no one knew the answer. I also thought it would only be possible with source code.
However, in the meantime, a partial solution has been discovered.
You need to edit the autoexec.cfg file in your Tron 2.0 directory. Add the following line at the end:
"fovx" "xxx"
Replace "xxx" with a number higher than 90. The number you need to enter, will depend on the aspect ratio of the display. You'll need to experiment, to find the right number that looks good to you.
This is only a partial solution. It affects the game geometry, which is probably good enough for what you want. Fixing the HUD to match is much more difficult.

Thank you all for your answers - I'll check it out as soon as possible and get back to you - hopefully with a video!
And yes, I asked this question a year ago, but it was in another forum topic, and also an answer that you didn't know how to do it. :-)
