With E3 2009 starting next week (Monday, to be specific), I figured I'd start a thread about it.

Press Conferences overviews:
Microsoft
Rock Band Beatles demoed, 10 songs revealed, back in the ussr among them. Paul and Ringo showed up, too.
Modern Warfare 2 TNT trailer followed by live demo of the "Cliffhanger" mission, featuring some snowmobile action and ice picks. All music is from CoD4's "All Ghillied Up" mission.
Epic Games revealed a fun looking side scrolling shooter game.
Couple of new titles shown. Foroza 3, Left 4 Dead 2, Foroza 3, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction and a few others.
Halo 3: ODST Live Demo, looks pretty fun
Halo Reach announced. wtf is that?
Alan Wake looks pretty cool.
Zune Video and Music for Xbox Live. Integration between the two.
Metal Gear for 360. Holy crap.
360 has motion capture device. Looks pretty promising. He just said "Next Gen is Natal" which makes me hear Genital. O_o
Steven Speilberg is on the stage talking about "Video game councils" and "Invisible technology"
Project Natal allows you to literally move in 3d space. Awesome.
Lionhead announces this new title I didn't catch the name of. Just incredible. "Milos World" |

Started with a Dante's Inferno trailer. Told everyone to "Go to Hell", lol.
Sims 3 is out tommorow, saw a nice new trailer for that. Exact opposite of Dante's Inferno.
Talking about Hasbro and the Wii now. Cute music playing. Guy wants to share new trailers.
Littlest Pet Shop stuff. Three new games this year for the Wii and DS. Littlest Pet Shop online. Horray for marketing.
Oh God, they're showing a trailer..

Diane Williams on the stage talking about "Charm Girls Club".

Here comes Peter Moore for EA Sports. What does he have up his sleeve other than a Halo 2 tatoo.
Fight Night Round 4 Demo. Looks pretty well done.
New franchise alert. EA Sports MMA.

Here comes Crytek. Crysis 2 for 360, PS3, and PC. Runs on Cryengine 3.

They've apparently been hiring filmmakers to assist in making better games.
New online community called Uplay. Ushare, Uwin, Uhelp (assist other players), Ushop (DLC store). Launches by the end of the year and will be included in "assassin's creed and splinter cell"
Working with Peter Jackson and Steven Speilburg.
Talking about Wiimote, DS, and iPhone/iPod Touch.
Talking about Endwar, Rabbids, Red Steel, and Shaun White; innovation.
Talking about making the user the interface; meaning voice recognition/motion control.
Something about linking gaming to hollywood.
Ubisoft involved with James Cameron's "Avatar". Actually producing shots for the movie film.
Apparently, Ubisoft is working on films. Amazing.
Something about a film in the Assassin's Creed 2 universe. Didn't hear it all, so don't take my word for it.
James Cameron is on stage. He's talking about the Avatar movie/game.
Takes place in the 22nd century on the moon of Pandora, which is earthlike and contains rainforests with 1000 foot tall trees and bizzare creatures.
I'm beginning to wonder if they're going to show ANY gameplay here. So far it's been all talking for about 10 minutes.
Ten minutes on the same topic. There's usually like a 3 minute limit.
He said something interesting: Avatar will be the first major video game title to be in stereostopic 3D. That's kinda neat.
HE FINALLY STOPPED.
McHale is back on stage making jokes. Everyone's awake now.
Woohoo Red Steel 2. Gameplay maybe? TRAILER! HOLY CRAP AWESOME. This looks really fun. Most exciting thing they've shown so far.
Jason Vandenberghe is on stage. He's actually going to show gameplay. Mythical desert where it's REEEEAAAALLLY HOT.
FIRST LEVEL LETS GO! You've got a gun and a Katana. Holy crap awesome. This looks really good for a Wii game. 60 Frames per Second. This is really good. Possibly Wii game of the year.
This is really impressive. You can even stab pepole. MotionPlus apparently makes it feel extremely realistic. Just look this up and watch it. It's amazing.
New enemy revealed. The Heavy is what he's called. He carries a freaking sledgehammer. This is amazing. He apparently starts out as a miniboss and then eventually you face multiple Heavies and stuff.
Red Steel 2 bundled with MotionPlus at launch. Definitely picking that up.
Trailer: Something to do with exercise maybe? Ah, it's Shaun White Snowboarding World Stage.
Pele' the soccer player is on stage. They glitched up the trailer. Everything was about to fall apart, then a translator came on-stage and saved the day.
I almost can't stand this anymore, they spent about 5 minutes introducing Pele', then they said he didn't need an introduction. It's almost all talking. Red Steel 2 was awesome, though.
It's been one hour. They have shown one game.

Woohoo game demo.
This is the same demo from Microsoft's conference, but it's nice to see it again. 
A feature I didn't really understand at the Microsoft demo, Last Position, which shows the last area you were seen in the environment as a ghostly outline of you.

The new Imagine games will allow you to upload to the ImagineTown website via WiFi.
Petz has actual characters. You have to buy all three new Petz games and... Screw this.
Style Lab has camera use and online functionality.
Talking about how fitness is the fastest growing genre.
Explaining how cameras are going to revolutionize the fitness genre.
They are talking about a fitness game that does not require any controllers. Sounds interesting.
Your Shape is the name of the game. This actually sounds very interesting. Considering it comes with a camera, I wonder if any other titles will use video technology.

Haha, they showed "the Rabbids' secret blueprints". They plan on building a pile of crap so they can climb it to get to the moon.

Has a notable cartoon look. They've gotta collect random crap or something.
They've got a minigame where you're looking inside the wiimote. There's a Rabbid in it, and you get to abuse him.
Wow, so it's not a minigame collection, it seems to play mainly like an adventure game, but you're collecting crap in a shopping cart the whole time.
This looks really fun.
Demo is over, I'll have to try that one.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles time. Let's see what Ubisoft has in store.
TMNT: Smash 'Em. From the creators of Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Sounds promising.

Mario, Luigi, and two toads. New items, p-suit lets you fly with a wiimote shake. This is amazing. Sweet demo. Looks like a great game for the Hardcore audience. Launches this holiday.

Wii Fit Plus CONFIRMED.
6 New strength and yoga activities in wii fit plus. Keeps track of calories burned.
They say it's lots of fun. 15 new balance games. Showing one that has you jumping over obstacles that actually looks really fun.
Another promo video showing, once again, that EVERYONE plays the Wii.

You start out by skydiving. Your Wiimote is your Mii, so you control your Mii as you skydive. This looks really good. Looks like a really good intro movie.
We're looking at Archery now. This looks really good.
Some multiplayer being shown in Basketball. You try to make as many baskets as possible, apparently it's not *actual* basketball. Reggie wins 18 to 17.
July 26 is when Wii Sports Resort launches stateside.

Woah! It's able to capture video and then change the controller into other things on video playback. True 3D pointing. Haha, he got a golden desert eagle.
Displaying first person shooter technology, you can actually move around the environment by moving in your real world environment.
Looking at some more tech demos, pretty awesome.

Konami having their own conference...
I know they'll announce the next Metal Gear game but I'm feeling just bummed out over it because I don't see how they can make another one considering they pretty much finished up everything in MGS4

Kojima has said in past interviews that he fancied doing a remake of the previous NES titles that never made it outside of Japan (until the release of MGS3) so we could see that. However rumour ville says its a new PSP title, which I hope not because I didn't care that much for portable ops.

MGS:PO really didn't add anything that we didn't already know except for maybe like two details that were only revealed at the end of the game.

And well, it's nice to know it's a Raiden game. On the wrong console. You have no idea how many years I've been waiting for another GoldenSun game. I should practically be jumping around like crazy. I personally didn't think my GoldenSun prediction would be true!
I was expecting a new 2D Metroid game for years also.
I heard how awesome Mario Galaxy was. My brother has a Nintendo Wii(and every other current consol), but I've never actually gotten to see him use it (I haven't used a Nintendo Wii myself).
Unfortunately, I was hoping for a new F-Zero game. No announcement for that. Unless I'm wrong.

1. Super Mario Galaxy was EPIC WIN! PLAY IT. NOW. 
2. I love F-Zero. Another F-Zero game would be great, if they did it right.
3. I played Super Metroid and did'nt like it... because I played the Wii version with my half-broken Gamecube controller. I WANT ANOTHER METROID PRIME-ESQUE GAME!!! I MUST KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER METROID PRIME 3!!!!!!
4. They should *bleep*'n make the sequal to Super Mario 64 already. THEY SAID IT BACK WHEN THE N64 KICKED BUTT!!! Ugh..... It's probably going to go into the crap-bin with the crappy Duke Nukem Forever.
