depends - lot of folks into heavier stuff who dug the first one dont like the new one as much - because its not as heavy - but its good for what it is i think. jazz-fusion is kind of the trend right now in metal so they are touring now with meshuggah and the faceless - about to tour with dragonforce allegedly
negative on amorphis - havent tried them yet
ha! when i saw you were from nola i almost mentioned them. awesome band! ive had sewn mouth secrets forever - and never realized it was brian patton from EHG on guitars until i finally got to see them last year
and this was a win:

Man, don't even get me started on Eyehategod...that's some seriously sick stuff. Jim Bower from EHG used to (maybe even still does) play drums for Crowbar, who my band used to open for a lot around 1996. We did a lot of shows with Acid Bath around that time as well, and Dax from AB has a group called Deadboy and the Elephantmen. It's damn good stuff...a lot different than Acid Bath, but it still rocks in Dax's evil way. Acid Bath has a DVD of live stuff, and the material from Gretna (my hometown) prominently shows my PA system that I used to rent to local groups. If you're into grindcore, check out a band called Flesh Parade. That's one of my best friends, who had to move to Houston due to Katrina flooding his home. They still play here in NOLA a lot, though.
What about Exhorder? They were local heroes that did the heavy thrash thing too. Their debut album was called Slaughter In The Vatican, and it's a classic piece of brutality.
I could go on forever on this thread, but I think I should take a breath and let others speak now.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

wow bro - Crowbar was(is?) awesome - i had the self titled way back in the day and i think i have Odd Fellows Rest around too. Missed them on their last tour because i was broke when they came - (in fact it was the same week of that EHG show here - I had to choose lol). But i did get to see Kirk Weinstein and Bower play with Down last year.

haha i know about Flesh Parade - my boy plays in a local band called Macerated and is into them - he went up to Maryland Death Fest last year to see them - actually he goes every year but Flesh Parade is the shirt he came back with (Kill Whitey!!! lol) - i didnt go because i went back up to NYC to see Mortician and Squash Bowels (

Hey, that's cool that your friend is into Flesh Parade. I have all of their old stuff (before they were signed)...the demo's that they used to sell in high school on cassette tapes and everything. I was asked to play bass for them years ago since they were going through some lineup changes, but I had other obligations at the time...a new band that I was fronting, and a new son on the way. However, it would have been cool to play the Maryland Metalfest at least once in my life. They have a MySpace page, if you want to check them out for yourself. Those "Kill Whitey" T-shirts are classic...I helped Rene (the guitarist) throw a bunch of shirts and swag in the trash after Hurricane Katrina turned everything in his house into mold...such a shame. We even left behind his 4X12 guitar cabinet and amp when we locked the door on the place.
Your friend added me to their MySpace list. I was listening, and it sounds pretty original. I was thinking Type O Negative when listening to one track, but then those high vocals came in and made it even more interesting. I definitely like it. Thanks for sending them my way!
