A Gentleman's Duel

on Saturday, September, 27, 2008 10:54 PM

For those who don't know, I am a big fan of steampunk. What is steanpunk, you ask? Well, it's a form of retro-futuristic science fiction; essentially, some technologies that were impossible in the 1800s were introduced in that time period using the techniques available to drive them: steam. The most popular example of steampunk would be the movie Wild Wild West. Steampunk fiction generally takes place during the nineteenth century. It is usually centered in Great Britain, however it is not uncommon for the American frontier to be the setting. To sum up:

Anyways, fan of steampunk or not, I think you may like this:

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Steampunk is pretty badass.
Wild Wild West is steampunk.. just mixed with Will SMith and the Old West
So, anyone interested, do some research. I think you'll come to love steampunk as much as I do. Mostly it is the mechanical aspects of steampunk rather than the fashion. But it's still pretty cool.

Thinking about it, Full Metal Alchemist is technically a steampunk anime though, it's more like 1920's technology...?

Steampunk is rather cool and I just wish there were more of it

Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.
