Yes. That, or Burger Man.

Seriously, any song about a fat guy that falls into a toxic lake and turns into a maneating hamburger is freaking awesome. Check out the music video:

I heard that Baby Einstein harms kids' brains. I wonder if this boobah thing would have a similar effect.

And Elmo is awesome, man!
1. He loves me!
2. He doesn't obsess about balls (eliminating barney).

Seriously, though, Elmo is cool while most PBS characters are not.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Sombody today told me that the flying ball in the intro for that was molesting the children, and that they were presenting gifts to the flying ball by dancing and (in unseen footage) presenting human sacrifices.

Well.. if I had kids, they'd be watching this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBQS1cgsEdU

"From my video, to my radio".... I loved this show when I was a kid...

Here locally, we had 'Uncle Birggs'. He was like a Captain Kangaroo type but so much better cause he didn't take crap from anyone. Plus he invented the 'cartoon eyes' and we all watched 'Deputy Dawg'.... I miss him... If I can ever find video of this guy, I'll sure post it somewhere..

Oh.. but 'Deputy Dawg' is something we all could enjoy together. God bless American Kids TV in the 70s-80s..

That is very cool; I lucked out a few times and caught that promo when it was airing. I thought they did a great job, and that even though some of the other eras/types of music were very cool - disco and punk and arena rock are great - the original late 60's/early 70's pop rock is still the best.

I don't know which I liked more, 'Josie and the Pussycats' or 'Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space'. Both were lots of fun.

Anyway, it sounds to me like a few of the people here might get as much of a kick out of this CD as I do: Saturday Morning Cartoons' Greatest Hits
Some really good covers and a few really great covers. Do yourselves a favor and check it out!

So let me get this straight . . . that show is made by the same people who made Teletubbies. Only, they decided to make their next show even weirder.

The mind boggles.

Between Teletubbies, Boobah, and Yo Gabba Gabba, I think we've got every angle of weird covered.

Man, I remember when I was a kid. When some kids' stuff might still have been just a little weird, but infinitely cooler.

I don't think Boohbah was by the people that did Tellitubbies, but ah well.

You'll never believe what I saw today. I found some website about Tellitubbies. At the bottom, there were links. All Tellitubbies related:

Fan Club
Chat Room
TV Times
Trivia

Just when I thought I knew what the definition of "fail" was. O_o

Aggreed, Qix, that vid did rock.

Word!

Wait... am I too old to use that term?

No, I don't think so. I was a teenager when it was first popularized. And if I am too old, then tough poop!

I hate Elmo too. Sesame Street rocked when Kermit was the main attraction (and when I was 5). I don't get how kids can be drawn to Elmo.

And Cookie Monster... I heard that he doesn't eat cookies anymore, or hardly or something like that. The politically correct movement (or what I like to call society's giant BOWL movement) took over and the powers that be decided that Cookie Monster's endless craving for cookies is a bad influence on kids. What the f'ing F? Kids LOVE cookies. With or without Cookie Monster, all kids want to eat is cookies. If you put 100 cookies in front of a kid and let them have at it - they'll eat until they're sick. It's what kids do. PARENTS. It's up to PARENTS to restrict kids' eating of cookies - NOT f'ing Sesame Street wussies who feel the need to curb Cookie Monster's constant craving for cookies. That's what Cookie Monster is all about! I mean C IS for cookie - that's good enough for me, dammit!

...

Oh man - just listen to me! I sound like a lunatic - going all ballistic about the politically correcting of Sesame Street like that. I swear though - some people just want the future generation of Americans to be dumber and more idiotic than the last. That's why they're putting Elmo out there, taking away Cookie Monster's cookies, and putting out crap like Boohbah.

If I had kids (which will happen when hell freezes over, heats back up, then freezes over again and becomes a universal ice skating rink for space dwarfs) I wouldn't want them watching anything like what today's kids are exposed to. I'd probably be inspired to start up my own entertainment company and put out some quality kids programming. No Barney, no Elmo, no Boohgahwampadoodaa. I think I'd create some shows in the vein of Kroft Superstars (man - those were awesome in the day). I'd sneak some educational themed things in there but the shows would be cool, fun, and NOT politically correct. Kids can be taught values without harping on the BS politically correct crap until vomit is forced from my bowels.

Well, that's got to be one of the most absurd, yet shockingly relevant post I've ever made.

I'm going to go and eat some cookies now.

Mmmmmmm - coooookie!

Then I'm going to step on stuffed Elmo toys until their stuffing is crusted to my shoes.

EDIT: I'm normal... naa - who am I foolin'?

Actually, it was!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boohbah
It was created by Anne Wood with scripts by Alan Dapre & Robin Stevens (of Pob fame). Anne Wood also created the children's show Teletubbies

Whaaaat? Cookie Monster doesn't eat cookies any more? What's the point of him being called "Cookie" Monster, then? Fer chrissakes!

Besides, wasn't the moral of every sketch where the Cookie Monster wanted cookies, supposed to be that it gets him into trouble or makes him sick?

I recon it will.

It'll take a LOT of cookies to get rid of it, I'm sure.

But a man's got to do what a man's got to do.

My point exactly. See how stupid political correctness is? Not that it's news to you or anything.

Yeah - something like that.

Remember the one where he ate the snow to get Casey Jones' train through the blizzard or something? I can actually remember the song they sang to that one.

Fun show that was back in the day. Magical to me as a kid!
