Hey everyone. Wow... I've been gone for a very very very long time, only to find my way back home to the sector.
Well... It's coming May 11th, 2008... The National ID card.
What is your thoughts on it? Have you researched it yet? It sounds to me like the book "1984" on steroids.

Ok. I suppose that this might be considered as a political issue ... so if you guys in the top dept. think so, then you can lock this thread and you'll never break my heart. Honest.. We be blood brothers. 
Nevertheless, I personally feel this sort of thing is wrong. I've done a crap load of research on it before coming to this conclusion and I can't help to feel threaten.
Once again, this really isn't the place to discuss this, so if you guys see as this thread to be out of place, then you can lock it without me crying over it.. :P

It doesn't seem political to be worried.
It just means they can datamine you more efficiently, fine you for not having one, one day, you may get the opportunity to be forced into another country to find work, increase fraud, and.. ah never mind, why list all the problems, I'm sure someone already made billions, nothing wrong with that. lol

I wouldn't be surprised if by 2010, they set up check stations when leaving one area and going to the next. Can't cross without your ID card.
Well.. I'm not getting one.

heh, so the US has an ID card scheme too?
they seem to be pretty similar in terms of what data thay have on them..which is a lot more than I want.

It's going to make things a lot easier for police. Rather than looking for crime, they can just wait at checkpoints and read from the script...

Yeah I've heard of this.
Done lots of research on it for years.
It's going to be delayed till at least 2013.. maybe even 2018...
But the thing is...
This is BAD news.. and I will make a new thread...
