As luck would have it, I have Vsta
Yeah click it and nothing except the hourglass happens. After I tried to run it everything was slow and I kept getting minor freezes. So I had to restart my computer, and delete the program for good measure.

Oh, I know that and don't blame you. I blame Bill Gates and his plot to take over the world.
If you could get it to work with Vista thugh that'd be great.

Okay, zook_one from LDSO says to try running the program in Windows XP compatibility mode. Right click the icon, go to properties, and it's somewhere in there.

Hope that helps. Please report back on weather that works or not. order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

That sounds like it should do the trick. I don't have a Vista machine to try it out on, so tell us how that works out, Cam.

So far I've never had any problems getting games to run on my vista (64bit ultimate version). Hell I was playing Fallout 2 last night with no problems at all. Seems to me that the only games that I've ever had to run in compatibility mode were games that came out for XP not all of them just the first few that arrived after the launch of XP.

You need to do what TronFAQ suggests before I can try it out :P

D'oh! Forgot all about it that day, lol.

I will really have a Vista version up tommorow.

I'd like to announce that I am releasing this game under our new name: "Timewaster Games".

Some updates will follow later today, including some screenshots of arcade mode!*

*Screenshots are taken from an early build of the game and may differ from what you may experience in the final game. It's blatantly obvious, yes, but there are people out there who do not fully understand that stuff changes when you work on it. If anyone knows the HTML tag for really, really small text, I'd like to know so that this can be as hard to read as possible just like real fine print. You pretty much can't sue me over this game, anyways because you're not spending any money on it nor am I making any money off of it. Of course, when you think about it, that makes this whole legal disclaimer completely pointless. Results may vary. Slippery when wet. All your base are belong to us.

Here's some jpeg quality screenies of arcade mode (or at least what I have so far).

You probably noticed that in the original demo, when you mouse over a choice on the main menu, the picture on the right changes. Here, you can see what shows up when you scroll over the Arcade choice. The "scroll over" pics on the main menu were originally created by Sketch and can be found in the "Profile Avatars" section under Media over to your left.

This is the arcade mode for regular recognizer gameplay. Here, small balls of energy will appear, and you have to get them for points (10 points each). Sometimes, in the midst of your energy ball collecting spree, a lightcycle will rez in from the bottom of the screen and begin to race towards the hole in the wall. Ram into it to take it out and get a 50 point bonus.

So there's my small second preview for Recognizer!

Ok... So I have Multimedia Fusion 2 now... and I really like it so far. I still got some learning to do but I like it's interface much more than Game Marker. It's limited to 2D, but that is fine since most of the games I want to make are in the 16-bit era style... like Amiga and Genesis/Megadrive games.

Tron.dll, you should rename the game to "Super Psycho Bumper Car Revolution". I would buy it.

I just tried it, pretty cool. One thing you can do for motion is use a motion formula:

acceleration = some number you tweek with to get the effect you want, make it positive or negative for direction, e.g. if you push right arrow make it 0.1, left arrow make it -0.1

velocity = velocity + acceleration * deltaTime

position = position + velocity * deltaTime

Do this for both X and Y movement. deltaTime is the time between motion updates. And don't let velocity be greater than some value, or less than that same value but negative. You won't need an emergency stop or have motion run away from you since when you now let go of the arrow keys, the motion will gradually slow to a stop.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

The emergency stop feature also creates a *glitch* feature that allows you to move really slow when you hold down the spacebar and move. And I made a game on a TI-99/4A computer once (with some help of a freind) that ran on the same kind of movement basis that Recognizer currently uses. I thought it worked out pretty good back then and I think it works pretty good right now, so I don't think any change is really neccesary; or I'm just too lazy, lol. I see what you mean, though.

Oops let me correct that a bit, for it to slow down to a stop automatically, after letting go of the keys, you have to make acceleration's sign equal to the opposite sign of the velocity. So if velocity is negative, set acceleration to -0.1 (in this example). You could still use an emergency stop button, since what requires momentum in an electronic world? You could also use the sign of the velocity to figure out the angle the recognizer is flying at.

Wow my grandpa had a TI-99/4A

lol. Hunt the Wumpus is always fun to play once in a while.

Actually, I made a Hunt the Wumpus themed artpack for glTRON once. Had the arrows on the Lightcycle trails, the TI-99/4A startup screen on the main menu, and various mazes on the arena walls. It was awesome.

And sorry again, Cam. I didn't get around to getting a Vista version up. I'll get that started ASAP.
