Hey all,
I'm stopping by to post because I think you as a group would be especially interested in this bit of news.
If any of you are familiar with Mystery Science Theater 3000, former host Mike Nelson went off on his own and started RiffTrax, which sells mp3's to be played along with DVD's, offering the same entertainment as MST3k of old while moving past old B-movies to make *any* film open season for riffing.
In any case, a fan-written spin off has started called Riff Raff Theater in which anyone and everyone is allowed to submit jokes for inclusion in the final script.
The group has already done the first Harry Potter film, and now everyone is working on a script for TRON. Personally, I love TRON and did a riff of the film at a convention a few years back to a happy audience. The age of the technology and unique special effects (not to mention the signature 80's style) make it a great film to riff, though everything is done with heartfelt affection for the film.

Sweet! This film needs all the recognition it can get. I'll have to check that out. Do you syncronize the mp3 file with the movie your watching? Anyhow, it still sounds interesting, I guess it could be called "Personal Mystery Science Theatre".

At the beginning of the MP3, you're instructed to pause until a particular point in watching the DVD, at which point you press play again and the movie is then synced with the riff.
From time to time a separate voice is heard that says a line of dialogue from the film that should match up with the DVD. If it doesn't, you can just pause and play the riff (or the DVD) again.

I viewed samples, I've got to barf. I've watched Mystery Science Theatre(10 years ago), and um, then, it was good.
I don't see this as a fan funtion. Allthough, if I had enough money to buy the drugs to have interest in it, I'd buy a golden toilet to sh$t my keyboard on this thread. lol
So long as there's reason, I may say nothing at all (I don't like cute meaningless computer illiterate humor, in otherwords).
Keep in mind, this is nothing personal to you or Mike, or his team, I just doubt torturing us with meaningless dribble from "people" is unique enough to interest me.

Ok, My email works, but I'm not going to login the site to show my jokes, which would be numerous, so I'll post some appetizers.
Scene: Sark derezzed by Tron, and the MCP hands over his programming to Sark, who then walks up to Tron, attempting to derez the MCP. -towards the end of the movie.
