I saw this watching ABC. I had no idea it was coming on and caught it by chance, right when that scene I mentioned happened.

I caught the TRON reference. Good thing it's fairly toward the beginning because I was about click off when it came up. Short on time. But a nod to TRON is always cool. 
That was more of a generic TRON DVD though, not the 25th anniversary DVD cover.

Is it just me or did the subject matter seem a little adult for an "abc family" show?

I don't think the Bible Belt would consider that channel very 'family' considering some of the stuff they show.
Hell, I live in LA and I am often shocked by what they call 'family".
