TRON Music Competition!

on Saturday, April, 21, 2007 11:54 AM
Welcome to the Official TRON Music Competition!
Here's your chance to become famous! Enter your own brand of TRON related sample mixes, synth, acoustical, any style, any length, any number of them, it's all for fun & everyone's enjoyment. It doesn't even have to be music, it could just be audio samples mixed in a chain of conversation or gibberish! Even collaborated entries are valid. Only requirement is that it is at least remotely related to TRON, including movies, games, and so forth, or gives the impression of computer music e.g. Kraftwerk "pocket calculator" etc.

Submissions are due June 20th 2007, enough time to learn the software (or hardware...) & possibly submit multiple entries. Please don't post entries until the due date. A community vote will be held for one week thereafter, for determining the #1 entry in a few categories of which are to be decided upon reviewing the presented entries. But don't let that scare anyone off!! All entries will be enjoyed just to hear what original ideas you have. Web space will be provided to hold all entries.

9 Volt has spend many many hours putting together the rant pack for Tronlink, and you can benefit from his effort by using the pack for mixing your own stuff. Download the rant pack here: http://hosted.filefront.com/DaddyoTron, it's called "setup_rants_1.0.exe", and if you have Tronlink installed it works with it for in-game TRON 2.0 audio rants that you can play to everyone else running Tronlink.

Here's you're chance to learn a music editing tool if you haven't tried it already. Or use it as an excuse to buy one. Many free/demo software programs are available. Here's a list of a few of them: http://www.google.com/Top/Computers/Multimedia/Music_and_Audio/Software/Editors/
If you just want a pure sample editor tool, a good & free one from Sony is here: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/step2.asp?DID=551. Another free one that's mainly for samples & recording is Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/. There's a Maven 3D time demo http://www.maven3d.com/en/download.asp. Of course if you're going all out with $$ there's FL Studio http://www.fruityloops.com/, for live & synth Cubase http://www.steinberg.net/983_1.html, and a huge number of VSTI (plug in synthesizers) for use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_Studio_Technology -look at the bottom for a few links to free & time limited versions.

Let the mixing begin!! Good luck & have fun!!!order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Sounds cool!

There are a few TRON-Sector members who have put together original TRON-like music or remixed TRON themes in various and creative ways. I hope they catch this thread.

I'd enter my own TRON mix, but I can't even use the mixer (blender) in the kitchen let alone do anything musical on my computer. abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Dont worry about musical talent, check out the full post, just slapping wav samples together is fine, everythings good. Lotta free stuff to do it with too. Don't think of it as a competition, just a common place to put up your stuff. I've got zero talent but I'll do something!

I know there's a heck of alot of people who have at least toyed around with music studio software & synthesizers out there, you really dont even need a midi piano to paste audio clips together. Here's a reason to learn to use one also, and if you got recommendations on tools please post them.

I hope you don't mind but I'd like to make this the official site for this thread, you guys have a great community and I think this is the place to hold it, particularly given that it's for all tunes Tron.

We gotta get everyone to just give it a try, there's going to be alot of stuff being entered, but don't think of it as a competition (maybe should reword title?), think of it more as a Tron tune/mix showcase for everyone, where anything from spending 10 minutes in Acid to weeks in Logic.

If you guys have suggestions on the ultimate legally FREE studio, let us know! Also any sites with samples for your mixes would be great.

There's a few people who are doing this stuff a fair amount, so this is a place to ask questions & help others get started.

Good that you guys already have something in the works!!

I'm always willing to help people tap into their musical creativity, so if you're new to making music you can PM me or ask questions here and I'll help you out ASAP. I'm no expert, but I've been doing this for a while and know the in's and out's, shortcuts, tips, etc. for making tracks (on PC and in a live studio).
I'm very interested in seeing what comes of this. I think it would also be a cool idea to take the winning track and have people do remixes of it. Keep the creative ball rolling and hopefully it will pick up more people.

I'd also like to add that if you go to www.kvraudio.com , you can find lots of free software and vst's...enough to basically make your own free studio. You might have to dig around a little, but it's all on there.

Here's a link to a page on KVR Audio's site that gives a list of free software that you can build your own studio with.

I'd like to open up the range of music that could be entered. If you think it's acceptable, you could enter electronic music that gives the impression of computer music e.g. kraftwerk "pocket calculator" etc.

It could also include any kind of ambient electronic sounds, not just "songs". Piece together some droning sounds and throw blips and bleeps into it, anything goes. It's all just for fun!

Post if you think you may be interested, non-committal of course. I think you'll enjoy having fun with the tools available these days, tons of free stuff out there. And ask questions...order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

My track is done!

Or just go to the File Archive and look under Music/Tron Music Competition.

Some tasty Drum and Bass with a little bit of glitch sprinkled on top...seasoned with Vangelis pads and cooked until it reaches a hearty 150 beats per minute.

Best eaten with a pair of headphones.

Tomorrows the due date. If you have something you would like to enter (dont be shy! it's just for fun), upload them here http://www.tron-sector.com/members/upload.aspx, under the following:

Section: Tron
Category: Music
Group: Tron Music Competition (type this in)

and give it a title & description. Then after uploading let an admin know (RealTodd etc) that you submitted it and they will put it into it's proper place.

Based on how many entries we have, and after a few days of listening, we'll figure out a way for people to give feedback or ratings if it seems feasible. It could just be a showcase of your efforts.

Does anyone (like me) need a few more days? Say maybe the end of this weekend? I know alot of the younger crowd is just getting out of school, and may not have had much time to spend on this.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion
