Just saying, "Hi!"

on Thursday, January, 25, 2007 2:23 PM

I'm new to the board, and hope to be on it a lot. I have a Tron/Automan page. I put them both on the same page because I think of them as being related. (Hmmm...Tron/Automan crossover, anyone?)

http://www.geocities.com/draka_dracula/AutoTron.html
Anyway, I hope to be here a lot. Please be patiant with me as I get my bearings on the board.

Thanks.

Edit: Fixed the link and made it clickible.

Welcome to Tron-Sector, Autowoman.

TheReelTodd will soon undoubtedly present the standard, sub-standard greeting he is famous for.

You betcha! Favorite part of the job!

Greetings, Autowoman and welcome to TRON-Sector!

Always a pleasure to welcome a new TRON fan... who also happens to be an Automan fan as well! Actually, most of us are fans of Automan - well, those of us old enough to remember it and those younger members who have been fortunate enough to see a few episodes in some form or another. I personally haven't seen it since it was first aired on TV. Loved that show... like my beloved TRON, it sadly went nowhere.

BUT it brought us all together here! I mean TRON did, but you know what I mean, you know what I mean?

BTW - you should make another copy of your Autowoman graphic (from your site) and upload it here - make sure you PM me if you do so I know to add it to your personal gallery. Just add some more pixels so it is 60x60 (or it will get distorted here). I think it would make a cool profile avatar. Just a suggestion.

A couple of threads you may want to hit are:

What's with your name?

And...

Don't forget to PING in every time you have yourself Another dose of TRON

I think you'll enjoy your time here at The Sector

Well looks like Todd beat me to the punch line to this one before I could do it. But I say welcome aboard Autowoman.

VROOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Thanks, everyone.

You, know, the funny thing is, I was looking for an Automan forum when I came up on this one. (Another reason I chose Autowoman for a name --Automan was still fresh in my mind.) But I love , too, so I'm here. (Works out excelletly that way... ;D )

I saw the Digicons --those are fun!

Todd: The avatar I'm using at the moment is one from the gallery. Do you mean the little sprite I made of Autowoman? She's kinda tiny. I use the three together for my avatar on Chuck Wagner's board, and even that's about 58 x 44 pixels (7.9k).

Have you been to deviantArt? There's some Automan (and Tron, of course) fanart up there, including three Automan Paper Dolls I put up. (I'm working on Autowoman Paper Dolls to go with him...)

Automan has his fans at Fanfiction.Net, too. He don't have his own section yet. Tron does, though.

Tron fanfics:

Right now, the only Automan fanfics at FF.Net is from one person, and she's good!

autonwallyluvr http://www.fanfiction.net/u/745686/
Don't know if the link to her profile will work --ff.net gets picky sometimes about profile links. So here is the link to her first fic.

Frozen Assets: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2513283/1/
It's like the episode, "Flashes and Ashes", but at a ski resort. But don't let that put you off; it's still a good fic. "Trapped" and "Crashing" are nice, too. "Crashing" has some Tron references (I'm surprised Tron didn't show up to help Auto.)

I'm working on a Automan fanfic, myself. It's a practice fic, so it's blended a bit with a ".hack//sign" kind of computer game. It's meant to be funny at the end. I'll post the url when I get it up.

Love your Autowoman paper doll art! Your Autowoman avatar has been cleared and moved in to your art gallery here. Check your PM to see how to use it in your profile.

Don't mean to sound naive, but is Automan (the series) out on DVD? I'd kind of like to get my hands on that again. Been so many years since I saw it. Was in 7th grade when that was on TV originally.

Not that I know of. I wish it were. It wouldn't take too much room on a DVD.

Let's see...

Wonder Woman Season 1 consists of 90 minture pilot movie and is divided between three discs. Two discs are double-sided, like an old vinal record. Including the pilot episode, there are 14 episodes in season 1 of Wonder Woman. Plus, Side B of Disc 3 has a documentry.

Automan has 13 episodes total, including the 90 mintue pilot episode, and Club Ten, which wasn't aired until the show came to the Sci-Fi channel.

Soooo....An Automan DVD with the entire season might look like this:

Disc 1/Side A
90 minute pilot episode
1 hr. episode.

Disc 1/Side B
3 episodes, 1 hr. each.

Disc 2/Side A
3 episodes, 1 hr. each.

Disc 2/Side B
3 episodes, 1 hr. each.

Disc 3/Side A
2 episodes, 1 hr. each.
1 30 mintute/60 minture documentry

OR

The documentry could be put on Side B of Disc 3.

The Wonder Woman Season 1 DVD set was about $30.00 or so. Automan would be about the same price.

Now, all we have to do is get it made and out in the stores...
