I think I've seen that video before. It's pretty cool, but I don't think big robot suits are really that useful in real world warfare.
Metal Gear, anyone?

One has to wonder about the money that went into that. I would have to think it could have been best used elsewhere. But whatever...where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

It's more of a roller-blader than walker but still cool. I had seen that before. It reminded me a little of the AT-ST from TESB. And he plays Space Invaders with it. That's always cool!

Eh, give me an M1A2 SEP any day. I wouldn't even have to waste any ammo; I could just crush the "mech" beneath my treads!
Anyway, it looks a lot more like an American-style BattleMech or HERCULEAN than a Japanese-style giant robot.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

Seen this before. Eh, it's okay. Not too impressed by it. Looks too easy to tip over.
I think John Deere has made a much more worthy concept that walks with great ease, a spider-tractor. Very balanced and workable. Check the beast out.

Oh yeah, I think I saw that on the History Channel. That John Deere mech has the other one beat by a mile, no question. Who knows, maybe it's the forerunner of a six-legged BattleMech. They said that about Tanks and the Air force. So who knows in 40 years time Mechs could be used in warfare.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

Not the way warfare is evolving. Maybe in a conventional sense, but you can see from the Iraq war that occupying an area is only 1/2 the battle.
I don't see mechs being useful in terror-type warfare as we see today.

Yeah, I agree. Building a giant mech is possible, but as with any kind of machine, once you start reaching a certian size, there are a ton of technological issues that pop up. A giant robot would require a ton of energy to operate and a great deal of economic and manufacturing resources to build and maintain it. On a battlefield that is critical beyond measure.
This spider-tractor has alot of promise. I'm glade John Deere, whose agricultural technology has always been amazing, built such a concept. Personally, I'd rather see such a complex piece of technology being an aid to humanity rather than being just another weapon. I can see such such a device being used in construction, manufacturing, waste management, rescue, or better yet space exploration.
I'm rather surprised John Deere hasn't made a spider-tractor toy, considering they make toys of everything else they produce. This thing would be an awsome R/C toy. https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |

Actually I think its Ertl that makes all the John Deere toys. I don't think John Deere makes any toys themselves but I cant say I'm sure of that.
And after a quick check on eBay... yes Ertl does make some RC toys.

I agree a spider-tractor would make one nice RC toy. I wonder if Ertl has a website or email address where that could be suggested.
http://www.ertl.com/ seems to be operated by a company named RC2. Do they own Ertl? I think they are just a retailer for them but I'm not sure.

I think those would be best as remote controled devices, and not really something manned by people.

I've seen these before too. They're impressive and they show how much technology is evolving, but I don't see much practical use for one of those in war. If even one foot gets knocked off, it is immobilized and is a multi-million-dollar sitting duck. They aren't sturdy enough to use in combat yet, even though they are extremely cool.

I agree with Todd when he says that the Mech isn't actually walking . . . they cheated. Not to mention it looks flimsy, and as if it could topple over any second.
Back to the drawing board, I say.

Yeah but like I said the same thing was said about Tanks. Mechs would be used possibly the same way Tanks are used today but probably carry alot more fire power. Its true that a giant robot would need a ton of energy to make it combat effective, right now this is a critical issue which prevents such machines from being in warfare today. But say in 50 years time this might not be an issue at all.
Its true that warfare today is more covert ops and and small squads rather than the traditional 100'000 men charging into battle screaming at eachother like the old days. But I wouldnt rule out mechs from the battlefield, imagine the phycological warfare of it, your standing there and you see massive mechs walking towards you these giant metal machines on legs. Would scare the hell out of me I can tell you that now.
Personally I would rather see mechs used in construction rather than warfare but you know how it goes. The military always gets technology before everyone else, look at the internet. It was invented so the military could stay in communication with eachother in the event of a nuclear fallout.
There are these new pills to help people who cant sleep stay awake without feeling tired and groggy and all the things you feel when your tired :-p well the military originally funded its research to be able to have troops that didnt need to sleep.
Its sad to say but most of the technology we have today can be traced back to being developed for military use.
P.S. The only real reason I think mechs are not seriously considered as a practical weapon is the fact that they are so slow. Why have a mech when you have a Tank that can travel over 100 MPH?

I don't think we'd ever see Mechs like the one in the video on the battlefield. Even now the concept seems a little dated... like the Mechwarrior game from the mid-90's.
If anything, an enhanced suit would be developed that would be smaller and fit better over the user. Kind of like the suits in StarshipTroopers (the novel).
It would be something to enhance the soldier’s abilities, rather than being the ability itself.

Holy bit, that's cool!
I think that the suit could be a battlefield machine if it were left to professionals. I'm not saying the guys who made it aren't professionals. I'm saying, like, military scientist people.
For balance and making it move alot faster, would to make it a bit taller and wider to fit more powerful hydrolics and adding a shifting counterwieight system near the mech center of gravity to allow it to shift it's COG over one leg, and alternate to allow easier walking.

Yeah we wouldnt see a mech like the one in the videos on a battlefield but again the design could be changed and improved over and over. I personally think that mechs may one day be on the battlefield but nothing like what were seeing in this video. Possibly more like Appleseed, or something out of Ghost in the Shell.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
