Amazing! Infinitely complex fractals!
Somehow a complex equation makes an image that looks something like this...
No matter how far you magnify the image, it is always detailed.
If someone could tell me how to import an AVI file, I could show everyone a cool video.

HEY! Tony's back!
Infinate fractals are quite facinating. The interesting thing about them is the equations them selves give rational numbers, but compiled, don't. They will go on forever
Do you know what program was used to generate this image?
The equation itself is difficult to understand so I had better look for another source to explain it..

Didn't Arthur C. Clarke write a story about Mandelbrot Sets? I swear I remember reading a story of his that was based around them.

I just guessing it didn't sell too well. Maybe It was a sience fiction book about robots, or an action based novel with a cnning twist that has to do with math!
Maybe it was a school book.
We will never know.

Okay, I tried, I REALLY tried. This post was lie, I have never heard of a Mandelbrot set before. I tried figuring it out, but there are so many complicated elements to it that I can only be taugh through a linear study involving step by step process of learning. My bran is not enough to figure it all out in 5 minutes. Maybe an hour of intense study, but not 5 minutes.
I need help...

It is not a lie!
I really am back, and infinite fractals ae amazing!!!
But anyway, I have a nice little program that will let you xplore the whole image. You can edit the number of dwells (the number of layers in the fractal which determines the complexity) and the orbit traps (3-D strings that are infinitely divided inside the dwells).
You can also change the colors of the dwells, and change a coordinate of the dwell set into a Julia Set, which is almost always symmetrical.
There arealso newton and halley fractals, but none are as cool as the mandelbrot fractal.

Do you need help uploading it to the web, or tron-sector specifically? If you can get it to the web then you should be able to post it here using...

I took a quick look at my linux machine here that has something similar to deal with that and to show what you ahve there. take a look. It is available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS's.
