anyone unpacked and listened to the wav files in the game? There's some pretty funny stuff in there, like Mercury yelling at Jet: "Jet get back here! I'm not done talking to you!"
or: "Where are your manners?"
And some stuff if you listen to them in sequence, it will sound rather suggestive of something else. Use your imagination.
In any case, there seems to be a lot of material not used in the game (at least for PC).abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

There are a lot of unused sound files, yep. Have you heard the ones for the AI that was supposed to fight you on the rings? That's how I know Monolith was at least mulling over the idea of having Single Player Disc Arena with an AI opponent, at some point early in development.
As for those "suggestive" files . . . I don't think they were intended to give you that impression. But they are funny to listen to. Someone put them to use in one of his custom maps, in a naughty way.
DT, just grab yourself a copy of WinRez and use it to extract the .WAV files from Sound.REZ. WinRez makes it easy.
WinRez LT
Most of the character dialogue starts at 20001.WAV in the VOICE folder.
The AI dialogue starts at 20716.

you have to listen to a very long string of them after the 20001 file to understand why it seems to have naughty connotations . . .
that aside, RR, yes it did seem like some of the files were being "voiced" by an AI opponent, or referee. There's lots of stuff in there that is just not used in the game at all, and seems like there were maybe some scenes they drew up that just didn't make it past the drawing board. Which, of course, is the case for any sort of story.
I'd like to go through the files again to see if I can dig up that nice ambient loop BVG had on the original tron 2.0 website . . . Some of the stuff sounds cool to rip and apply as ambient effects for music. Heaven forbid I should do that, though. Maybe for just personal works, and not commercial.

I've got the ambient loop. I won't post it here, but I can send it to you. Drop me an IM with your email ID.

Nono, I completely get what you're saying. I just think that those files were meant as "pain" sounds that weren't used.
Then again, maybe the guys at Monolith were a bunch of cheeky buggers, and that's exactly what they intended you to think.
Yeah, that ambient loop is one of my favorite bits of music. Too bad it wasn't used in the game, only on the web site. And for a while, it was replaced by the opening cutscene music. But people complained, they wanted the ambient music back! So the original track was restored to the site.
The game site should have been left alone. Shut down the message boards if you must . . . but it would have been so much better to have left the original site intact. Rather than "bringing it in line" with the rest of the site, like it is now. Bleh.

Yeah!!!
I will send it to anyone who wants it, but I won't post it here because frankly, I still fear the BVG team could come down on this site if it were posted here. DaveTRON
