Lover Boy - Working for the Weekend
Duran Duran - New Moon On Monday

I just can't get these two songs out of my head at the moment.

I was more into metal/rock more than pop in the 80's. A lot of this was due to my older brother and without him, I would have missed out on many cool things back then. However, I did enjoy 80's pop music.... More so now than back then... But reguarless, I was a big fan of Duran Duran.

Back when MTV showed videos and only one game show (Remote Control) I would be glued to the TV all day long. David Lee Roth would do "Dave TV" and sing "I Aint Got No Body". I sided with him after the Van Halen break up. The guy became a joke ([edited] that wasn't the word I ment to use) but I really really love his music. In 1998 he released an album simply called "DLR Band" and it was great. Dave could have stayed huge if he stayed with Van Halen... He could have been huge as a solo artist if his ego didn't get in the way.... But I still love his music...

Ok... I don't want to get flammed by DLR fans... It woudn't be a good idea to do so since I am a huge fan myself, but I can be relentless at times ("Relentless" being one of my fav. songs on the "DLR Band" album.)

I guess it's cool that Dave is willing to try performing a different style of music, but that performance just didn't work for me.

That cheshire cat grin on Dave's face looked really forced, so it came off as him not really being into what he was doing.

I do agree with one of the comments on youtube about the banjo nailing the guitar solo; that was really cool.

Addendum:

I was strangely compelled to watch the video a few more times, and now I've found that it's grown on me.

Dave's creepy smile still rubs me the wrong way, but I enjoy the peformance now. Don't know if I like it so much that I'd want to see a bluegrass-does-metal album though.

Now, Pat Boone does metal... that's just classic!where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

** picks self up off floor **

Whoa...

That was really weird!

I agree with MutoidMan - I don't think Dave was in to it all that much himself, but as an 80's fan and hey-day of MTV fan and a fan of all that is really weird - I enjoyed it. See... I'm sort of use to it... Makes sense what I said... and he did become sort of a joke... But I love his music... One that he did was a song called "ShowTime"... Dave is all about fun, but his eggo gets into the way... I don't know if he grew up since then or not... but there is always a place in our hearts for Dave.... I'm sure there is...order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Yeah, but not as sad as watching Steven Tyler and Joe Perry play "Walk this way" with the Boston Pops on the 4th of July.
