Greetings, Programs.
Okay, I'm guessing many of you have thought of this before. [If a post string already exists with this question, please forgive me.]
Bottom line:
IF you had your own lightcycle (one & only one), what color would it be? I guess you could think of this as an informal poll.
Remember, there are no "wrong" answers. You're just telling us your favorite choice of L.C. color.
For the sake of argument, let's all assume the color you pick is for the "fairing" and wheels, etc. while the underbelly color is the standard movie gray (unless you specify otherwise).
For me, the answer would be: green.
Being from Hawai'i, green has sort of become my unofficial color of representation in the international / internet community.
Bright green. A nice green. One that would look good next to the other L.C.s seen in the movie.
[And remember, answering this question poll does NOT assume that the L.C.s are necessarily your favorite vehicles in Tron.]
I'm referring to the original movie L.C.s, though. I haven't seen the 2.0 ones quite yet so I'm not really thinking about those yet.............

Not that I root for the bad guys in movies, but my nick is RED. So, I'm gonna have to go with Red.

I really do like pink things, but if I couldn't have pink, I'd go with blue.  (or purple!)

I would have a white cycle because I like white. Or orange. Or purple. or black. or CAKECYCLE!!!!!

Personally I like orange...
Oh, and the chassis and other non-colored parts are actually white. They only look grey due to the lighting (without 100% light, white objects turn shades of grey.)

Mine would be an Ice Blue, with Dark  -esque Blue replacing the Grey

Heh, I'd love to go to my local dealership and be able to buy a real-world Light Cycle. That would kick ass. I'd get a motorcycle license just for that!
I mean, if you think about it . . . except for cost, what's stopping anyone from turning the classic TRON Light Cycle into a real one? It all boils down to money (cost of the bike itself, probably licensing issues, and whether enough people would buy). I don't think engineering issues are preventing it.
Of course, they may need to modify the design slightly for practical purposes. Following the design to the letter, may not result in a bike that can actually be driven. But I'm sure they could come really close.

These have been around for a long time, I remember seeing them some 10+ years ago is a magazine or something. It totally amazes me that less than 2 minutes on Google and I found exactly what I was looking for...
The technology could probably be adapted to have a very wide front wheel like a lightcycle, and of course the "look" (canopy shell, etc.) would just be cosmetic.

Hmm... I'm not sure. I'd either have blue like the bad guys in the movie, or I'd have something different like a yellow cycle with a black underside.
Hmm... I'll opt for the latter.

Fantastic! Ha, ha.
When I logged back in after the first post in this string, I thought to myself, "Considering how active the Tron-Sector is, I'll be disappointed if there aren't AT LEAST 5 responses by now". It was to much happiness that I found 8 replies by then. And it was only a few hours after I posted it. Thanks for all the responses, folks. Interesting stuff.
Red Shoe, I live on the island of O'ahu. I've been to Maui (this was waaaaaaaaay back in 1985, I think). Haven't been to any of the neighboring islands since. [Have been travelling elsewhere.] I've never been to your wife's hometown.
If you are ever on O'ahu, please let me know. It'd be nice to meet fellow Tron fans in person.
Oh, by the by, weren't Blue LightCycles the ones associated with the "bad guys" and not red? I believe it was
Red = Ram
Orange = Tron
Yellow = Flynn
Or was Sark in the Red L.C. at the start of the film? I forget. I gotta go give that a look-see again.

I hope more & more members will chime in inside this post string. It would be good to know what L.C.s people would drive.
