I apologize for restating what's already been said, but this issue has bugged me for quite some time. I've never really understood the need to post absolutely nothing at all. I know forums develop a community and many people become friends through them, but do inane 'random thoughts' threads or threads like this contribute to the community in any way? I know there's a cross section of people here that vary widely in age and background, yet often I wonder why someone even bothered posting.
I know I'm probably coming acorss as arrogant and for that I apologize. Please don't take this as a public 'bashing' shadow_user, I'm just getting this off my chest after three years of reading these forums :^).

So true, so true.
Why this reminds me of that time that I had to use my left foot as an eraser. You see, my pencil eraser had fallen off the day before, during the picnic parade of peril. And so there I was - eraserless and yet I had errors on my page that needed some erasing. Yes - they had to be erased so that I may jot down the correct thoughts I was having and not those silly thoughts I was writing that I wasn't having... jeez - I may have forgotten to make sense in that last sentence. Oh well. You know how it is. I get carried away with all that talk about chocolate covered chocolate chips! Actually no - that is not what we were talking about at all. Sorry. My bad. Anyway, my left foot did the trick. Yeah, that's just how it went.
Anyway, I agree. There are many pointless posts here.

I'm with you for the most part Nikster. Rereading my post I realize it sounded a bit too stern and uppity. Like I said I realize forums can be a good place to make friends and as such, friends say a lot of non-sensical things  .
