I wasn't. I enjoyed all the bonus features, and the movie of course.... However I would love to have seen a little bit of the acting that was filmed before post-production. |

I was upset that there was no interview with David Warner (Sark/MCP) I wanted to hear what he had to say about the film and playing the role of Sark and Sarks boss the MCP
I also wanted to see parts of the film in its black and white non fancy backlit glory.
After 20 years you think Disney would release it.
Dont get me wrong I loved the DVD Collection but other things could have been put on the DVD that wasnt. I think the entire production portfolio should have been on there as well as much more images of the actors and crew during the filming. What made the DVD collection so special was not the movie or the trailers it was the pre backlight images of the set and actors that I found most intresting.
Seeing the gaurds faces under the long over hood or getting a up close shot of the data pushers was a treat.
I wanted to see more images of the set as well.
Hell I would pay money to see the whole film before its backlighting and CGI. You obvisouly wouldn't see the whole film but it would be a treasure.
I also wanted to see the whole pre-production white against white test with the frisbee champion.
The early Tron costume is intresting would have loved to have the whole clip.

I see your point... I would have loved to seen all that too...
Perhaps if something happens in the future (new type of disc media?) and all the folks from the film are still alive, then maybe we will see more of these things... But I don't know if that will be likely...

All the people I talked to that have lots of background information on TRON tell me that Sam Schatz test reel is lost forever but I doubt it.
Part of the test is on the DVD as well as composites of other test with him not with a frisbee.
That footage should have been released complete just like the Tripple-I promo video.

I can understand what you're saying, Tapper . . . that stuff would have been cool.
But honestly, the 20th Anniversary DVD exceeded my expectations. After the previous bare bones DVD release, this one was pretty packed with goodies.
Maybe Disney will do another release once the dust settles in HD-DVD/Blu-ray format war.

If there is can you possible list the differences.

Either the supplements on the DVD and laser disc are different or they worded the supplements differently.
For example that Laser Disc has the supplement labeled "Pre-Production Test" as a seperate supplement.
The DVD doesnt have a seperate one.
I am curious.

I'm watching Tron for the third time. (I only just saw it a few weeks ago.) And drinking coffee. And it's storming.
And I am conferencing with two friends, planning a road trip for July.
Marching band ended yesterday with a (stupid) 3rd at the Alexandria Vikingland Band Festival. An impressive season and excellent rookies, though. I'm pleased.
I just completed an over-the-phone survey with someone I could barely understand. I love doing surveys for people. It must be horrible to get hung up on 900 times a day. To have someone finally comply and help you out...must be nice.

The only part I was disappointed with the 20th anniversary set was that the extra stuff wasn't captioned.
That's my only beef with the companies who don't caption the extra stuff. I like learning about what goes on in the background or making the movies. (It seems that Paramount is the only one who does caption the extra materials now...) Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

I would like to see more pre compositing footage of tron than what was on the disk.
Disney should also get in touch with Tron Collectors and ask if they would like to contribute to a TRON dvd release.
MGM did just that when they made the 007 Goldinfger Special Edition DVD release. MGM gathered a bunch of Bond Collectors and they showed off there collection of photos and videos, and gave copies of the videos they had to MGM for the DVD release.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill
