That's the benefit of our comics being printed in Canada.

kirinke Wrote:Lol. Went to the comic book store on the off chance they'd have it, saw one lone copy on the shelf and snatched it. Pity it's so short, less than 10 pages. Can't wait for the next issue.

Umm... I'm not sure what you got, but the comic is 24 pages long.

PrinceAuron Wrote:I just read my copy, very very interesting. It both makes sense, and no sense, all at the same time. Go get it now!

Don't worry, the story will make less sense soon!

I was too damn busy to do much of anything today.

Even if I got my copy, I wouldn't have much time to spend on it today.

But I'll be getting mine very soon.

And when I do...

WATCH OUT!

** big evil laugh **

...

Um... not sure why "watch out"... it just felt right, so I went with it. You know - one of those moments of unexpected excitement that causes one to just say stuff like that...

Yeah...

Lurkinghorror, I found out yesterday that the second issue should be released in July. Does this mean the comic is bi-monthly?

Technically, yes. But in reality the book will have larger gaps between issues. More like quarterly. It's kind of a "as often as we can" approach.

Aha . . . see, that's what I told my fellow Tron collectors where I live. That if it was printed in Canada (and a lot of comics are now), then there would actually be a good chance of getting it at the same time. So that's great news for me.

I look forward to reading it tomorrow, and writing a review of it.

Thanks for answering that . . . hmm, waiting between issues is going to be torture. You've been taking lessons from the MCP again, haven't you?

After reading my copy maybe... seven or so times, I now applaud the creative team behind this for really bringing to light the hidden meanings. "Great. Another religious nut" has never made more sense.

According to Amazon, it ships on May 1st. >:/ (And their page says that the comic has not been out yet... augh!)

So I won't get it until May

I'll check with the place that I had made my order to see if they got it in already. It might be there already there without me knowing it at all.

Lan,

I bought two copies today at my local comics store.

Guy behind the counter said "20 years too late!" and I chastised him.

I got home and read it while I ate dinner.

I must say I enjoyed it thoroughly. Even knowing as much as I did in advance, I have to say it was well done.

I see some twists coming. I wonder who that is at the end? Hmmm?

Great work!

Will there be a TPB release down the road? I don't have a comic book store in my area (atleast not one that I know of) and it erks me just a little bit knowing that I will be paying more for shipping than for the comic. Personally I prefer the TPBs too as with the comic it always seems just as I'm getting into the story and things are getting interesting I'm at the end of the comic and you have to wait a month or two to see what happens next.

Arg! They didn't even have it on the Chapters website! (Although... stranegly.... the DID have the Tron pop-up book for some reason.....) Do you think if I screamed right now, the users might be able to hear it? ;_;

(BTW, some weird bug just happened right now. Did Auric let some gridbugs loose on the sector again? ^^;; )

Yet again, the comic has not been stocked in my local WHSmiths, Woolworths (should either of those have apostrophes?), MARTIN'S newsagents or TESCO.

I need it I say! I need it now!

And I keep forgetting to ask the guy behind the counter if they'll ever stock it. I must do that next time I go down to town.

I just called the place where I made a resevation for mine over here. And it has not come in yet over here. I want to see it so much. The snipit that Lurkinghorror had shown looks good. If he has one other available. I might pick up a second one over here myself.

It will probably be collected at some point, but the collection and the independent issues are not covered in the same contract, so I cannot say with certainty. It will be at least a couple of years, I would imagine.

Heh... And the gaps between issues will be a bit more than a month or two. Hopefully no more than three though. There's not really a huge amount of money in this, so everyone working on it is doing so on the side of their other work.

I picked up the comic today . . . huzzah!

I talked to the store owner, and he told me there had been several requests for the comic. Good news. I was lucky that he set aside the one issue that he had, for me. He's going to order more now.

Well . . . I really hope the sales surprise everyone at Disney and SLG, and the comic is a bigger success than predicted.

Cancelled my preorder from amazon due to the shipping time. I'm so disappointed with Amazon...

Apparently, they won't be able to ship until June 20ish! That's way too long for me. I'm just going to stalk a local comic book store. >_<
