Lenore was optioned by Sony awhile back. I believe the short films you refer to are derived from that deal. Sadly, it was not picked up for further production. Which is a terrible crime.

The comic is produced and created by Roman Dirge. In case you were unaware, Roman is also working on comics that are a part of the SLG/Disney deal (which is responsible for the new Tron series). His work has been on the Haunted Mansion anthology series doing both covers and short stories.

Another place to take a look at as well is www.illwillpress.com Is another cool site. Site foamy and pile-z squirrel in there. FUnny as all heck.

Judging by the crowd Roman draws when he's at a convention, I would say you are not alone in tastes.

that is what compucore was trying to link to. i agree with him. neurotically yours [the name of the cartoon] is,well, was very funny. now it's mostly been filthed up with sexual innuendos [and some things worse].

don't let that deterr you, it's still very funny.


secondly: aparrently the british sense of humour is pitch black, we like to laugh at stuff that we shouldn't really laugh at. the league of gentlemen[http://www.leagueofgentlemen.co.uk/] is a personal favourite of mine. not sure it's made it's way over to north america yet though.

however, i took one look at that wierd little cartoon thing, watched a hamster explode in a shower of blood and eyeballs, i'm a sucker for cute little furry animals, and i tell you, that didn't strike a chord with me. there is a fine line between "black comedy" [like a circuis harlequin stealing people's wives and calling everyone "dave"] and "completely fouled up" not only does this cross the line, it also throws a hamster cadaver on the line as well.

that's my opinion. i watched that first episode, and didn't want to go any further.

What a dark, twisted, and gross cartoon series... it's GREAT!
