I've already researched the graphics and eyeballed the monitor framing for a replacement. Hmmmm, need a couple boards, I see the spinner and joystick are available, now where can I find those blacklights?*

I see the new avatar is in place. And you have been posting pretty regularly lately.

Hmmm...

I think...

It looks like...

Yes! You are becoming a regular here at TRON-Sector!

Come on - admit it! You're enjoying yourself here, aren't you? Please, stick around. We all LOVE it here!

And if no one takes you up on your TRON upright cabinet, I do hope you follow through with it yourself and take many photos along the way to share with us.

Whoops! It looks like I forgot to read through the entire thread before making my last post.

Well - good luck with the deal. I hope it works out!

And I hope you choose to stick around The Sector also.

Hey Batman! I'm just coming back into town from my Washington trip (earlier than expected) and will be driving through your area in the morning. Short notice, and very unlikely you will read this in time, but if the game is still available and you will be around so I can pick up, contact me at landry@littlegloomy.com

I'm away from my normal computer and can't access any of your contact info. Hopefully, you will see this. And if not, I can always drive out sometime in the next few days.

And Dave, if you are still reading, I would love any help in restoration. I have decided that I must put together a cabinet or I will never have internal peace.

Awesome Lan! Thanks for saving this one from the graveyard for us. Personally I would be willing to drive 10 hours for a non-working Tron cab, but Orlando FL to CA is a bit more than that .

3 cheers for Batman though as he put forth the effort to find the machine a new home.

I can't believe I missed this thread. I always saw the thread title it on the Tron-Sector home page and assumed it was probably information on an eBay auction

That will teach me to not explore the world of Tron-Sector more carefully. *sigh*

I actually didn't learn about this until Lan mentioned it to me at Comicon. I was like 'wtf?? how did I miss it!?' So, if Lan ends up not taking it off your hands, I would be interested in learning more about it. I must say I'm a bit confused. Is it the shape of the box that is a Tron upgright, yet everything (including stickers, Tron graphics panels, etc.) are gone or sanded off? So it just looks like a raw, exposed particle board/plywood cabinet? And if I understand you, Gladiator is the game inside of it, not Tron? Thanks for clarifying.

It'd be a bit of a drive for me, but I just might do it. I'd want to see pics first, of course I'll be out of town next week, unfortunately. So I won't be available to do anything of this sort until mid- to end- of this month; if it's something we want to follow through on.

I'm a female and I really don't understand the mindset that some women appear to have that they don't like their husband's hobbies. It just seems ... odd to me. I'm happy Silver's got tons of console games (but that's because I'm a geek to start with...)
I've noticed women enjoy some of men's hobbies; just not when those hobbies involve computers or video games. Most women hate computers (if it takes their man away from them) and get jealous of the time guys spend on computers (start tapping their foot if the guy spends more than 20 minutes playing a game). This observational fact -- which (disclaimer) is only my opinion -- drives me bonkers

I don't mind it if Silver's distracted by the computer. I've grown up watching my dad spend most of his time with the C64 playing RPGs. XP (My mom never complained either! She was too busy keeping me out of trouble. Bahahaha.)order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

My Parents hate the computers. Especially when I am running three or four at the same time And Switching between them through the kvm or switching to the one near the bed or on my small makeshift workbench.

Traahn-

Sorry the cabinet is spoken for

Yes, it is a Gladiator game installed into a Tron cabinet. I bought the game in the mid 80's and played it ever since. After years of social gatherings featuring adult beverages I recovered $12.75 from the game, although I always clicked up tons of free games.

In search of a good home for the cabinet I discovered this awesome website! Tron is alive and well in these posts and in these forums. I admire the dedication and devotion shown by all here! I had no idea there was still such a following.

Well...I love computers, and if my gf was on the computer a lot it would be fine with me. Hehe...I'd probably try to get her to game with me or something

The hardest part is finding a common interest. I've been married 13 years and oddly enough my wife LOVES "Smash TV" and "Sewer Shark" on Sega and nothing else

And yes, she says I spend too much time on the computer.
Go figure

That's okay, Batman!

As for women...
My dream girl is one who enjoys playing video games and has done so for many years already; loves to watch Tron all the time (or at least lets me indulge in my Tron OCD and respects that); and enjoys cooking yummy meals That would be a triple-threat! I don't know what I would do...

Do you like to cook yummy meals? LOL, j/k.

And KiaPurity is also a rare breed. You are both awesome.

I WISH my wife was in to video games!

I've tried SOOOOOO many times to get her interested, but it never works. It's like her trying to get me interested in crochet. It just ain't gonna happen.

BUT I got lucky a few months ago when I got my Atari Flashback 2. After coaxing her in to playing a few games, she happened to show a great interest in Atari Centipede! That was back in early January - and she's STILL digging Centipede! We play pretty much every day - a few games each, taking turns.

I wish I could get her interested in other games than Centipede... oh, she kind of likes Millipede as well, but not as much as Centipede. But she's not shown much interest in any other games. Oh well - at least we get our gaming in old-school style with a classic game - Atari style!

Oh - and she's an awesome cook, beautiful, she loves me a lot, really knows how to rock my world (yeah, I mean that ) and best of all - she puts up with me! She may not dig gaming much, but I'm a REALLY lucky guy to have her in my life.

So, does she dig computing and gaming or are you the computer, gaming lover, solo?

My wife used to get upset when I spent a lot of time on my computer, but she's generally ok with it now. She used to feel like she was in competition with it. We communicate a lot better these days though - that was a long time ago.

Sounds like you got a triple/quadruple/quintuple+ threat there, TheReelTodd. Okay, okay... not liking Tron or computers is not a deal breaker. But they are major strikes against, imo!!! LOL

Oh, she likes TRON - she doesn't doesn't LOVE TRON the way we all do. She'll only watch it with me once every coupe of years. But she seems to enjoy it every time she does watch it. I do wish she was more in to gaming than Centipede though.

Well - you're not tied down yet. You may indeed find that perfect woman who's got it all AND loves TRON and gaming! Hey - if you do find a woman who digs TRON and gaming - you'd better hold on to her!
