Just a heads up.

The March 2006 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly that's out now has Tron cover art. The magazine is covering Kingdom Hearts 2 so the magazine is printed with four different covers. The Tron, #4 of 4, has Donald, Goffy, and Sora. I wanted to post this on the front page, but haven't had the chance to scan the magazine cover cause of time. It's a nice addition of ones collection.

I really want to scan the Space Paranoid globe illustration they made for the article. Love the simple line art and colors used. They start the article with a two page illustration with the worlds laid out like the Disney theme park right atop the article.

Only read little segments so far. The Lightcycles don't play like 2.0. Instead you fight off enemies using your keyblade while on your Supercycle trying to avoid pop up walls. Would be awsome to play a Lightcycle round on the gamegrid, mabey as a unlockable game once you beat the game or something. What? Make it look like TRON light cycles but not play like them? Oh man.

Yeah - I'm sure they put something like that in there. I mean - how can they sit and program something that looks TRON and doesn't play like it? You just KNOW they must have programmed a playable version of light cycles (the traditional way) while in development. I bet it made it in the game somehow.

To me this looks like total lame-ass crap.

You are completely mising the point of this game. It's not to make a 100% faithful recreation of TRON, it's to bring TRON into the world of Kingdom Hearts. They didn't add Disney characters and Japanese Anime style to TRON, they added TRON to a game that features Disney Characters and Japanese anime style.

I for one think it's awesome and I can't wait to play it.

It will literally be the only money Disney gets from me this year.

I find it very exciting, and I've already bought the 4th cover of this EGM, and I'm real glad I mentioned Tron not being in Kingdom Hearts I (a little while back), and I'm glad....

BASICALLY, I'm glad.

I'm irate because it looks to me like Disney doesn't think that TRON can stand alone; that all TRON is good for is lending its style to other things, e.g. the Stitch TRON pin and now a segment of Kingdom Hearts. And It doesn't help that games like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, which it seems a lot of people here like, have absolutely no appeal for me. If you find this latest use of the TRON property exciting, then more power to you.

Let me put it to you this way: Would you rather have Tron completely ignored (And I do mean completelyu like as in pretending it didn't exsist) and never bring it up again or would you rather have at least Tron being brought over to other things so at least it's getting some attention that it so really deserved?
