Coleco plug-n-play at Walmart

on Thursday, February, 09, 2006 1:00 AM
has anyone else seen this?

I was wondering if those were actual Colecovision games or if some company for some reason thought that buying the 'coleco' name and putting it on a box would sell games.

I didn't recognize any of the games on the box, but I only had my Adam for a short while and only had a few games.

Yeah, those kind of look like the sports games from the Colecovision, on the box.

Here's some more info, that I found on the company's web site:

Ahhh...thank you

I was kinda hoping it had more than sports games. But, considering most of it's big hits were arcade conversions or licences, that might be asking too much.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Actually this looks like the Coleco HAND HELD games, and not anything from the ColecoVision console.

I was wondering how they could put out a ColecoVision emulator for the TV and not include Donkey Kong!!!

Cuz Nintendo owns Donkey Kong.

That's why Coleco can't really be all that successful as aplug-n-play thing (IMO, anyway)...the rights to all it's best games are probably owned by someone else.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Those look fun...but they're either expensive or have said to be bad quality.

It looks like they're using the same casing for both the handheld LCD and TV versions. So because of that, they look pretty . . . cheap. As in, not well made.

And without putting some of the better Colecovision games in that unit (not just sports games), I don't think it will do that well.

Actually I meant from the company's website and the games released that the item is more a port of the Coleco hand held games of the time rather than the Colecovision games. Not just what the item looks like. I mean I do not think these are Colecovision games.

Frankly, it's hard to tell from the company's web site. You could be right. All it says is that there's a version that can plug into your TV.

All we've got to go on are those screenshots on the box. From the looks of it, they appear to be Colecovision games. But they could be misleading. Which would be nothing new . . . how many times have screenshots on the box not matched what you actually get?

I remember seeing some other similar to like the colecovision here as well. I think it was during the christmas season that they were trying to sell the intellivision in a handheld controller as well I want to take a look at it over here at a local Canadian Tire store over ehre and they were all sold out when I got there. I have seen some others here as well. Ranging from 5 to 30 games in all in one handsets. But it was from carying games from Intellivision t unknown games that I don't even remember seeing before. Like total rip of games that were not familar at all. Too bad they don't have like 30 classical arcade games all in one handset.
