Thanks, Lew. I checked in to the history, but when I looked for a TRON-Sector link in the most recent edits (since this thread started), there was no mention of it, or it being derezzed. So I guess it was indeed a false memory. I think I need a defrag!
I kind of dig wikipedia.com. I was enjoying some other stuff on there on break at work today. Cool site, although it's hard to know if what you're reading is entirely accurate. As I was reading about some old video games, I saw other inaccuracies. Didn't have time to correct though.
Oh, I did correct the release date of TRON 2.0 on TRON (the film) page. They had it as the 25th there too.
Yeah - neat site though.

Cool!
You know - I kind of figured you could do a lot on that particular page. You're loaded up with great information about TRON 2.0. I did notice your FAQ was mentioned there as one of the links. At least I think it was yours - I didn't click on it.
Like I was saying in my last post - it's a cool site, but there seems to be a lot of inaccuracies, or near misses if you will. We have to watch out for those items we are knowledgeable of and share what we know so that people can enjoy the TRON and TRON 2.0 entries with optimal accuracy. With any luck, perhaps a few people will take an interest in it (who hadn’t already) and perhaps join our little digital community.

Whoever it is, uses Charter Communications for an ISP and lives near (if not in) St. Louis, Missouri.
The pressure is mounting . . . c'mon, fess up! |
It was me. I confess.
I don't live in St. Louis, Missouri though. I live in the upstate New York area. But you know - they're really close and all.
Oh, and I didn't actually write that part of the article, I just kind of read it. But you know - that's close, right?
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I had nothing to do with the origen of the article, and I have no idea who did, but I did read it and I know where St. Louis is on the map. And knowing is half the battle... ** G.I. Joe theme plays **

That was me, I put it there a while back.
Seems I couldn't help myself, and I added one more item: about the Gizmondo version being cancelled. It will be interesting to see if it sticks, or someone decides to dispute it. Since no official cancellation notice has ever been released (that I know of). But the fact that we haven't seen or heard anything about the Gizmondo version for a very long time, pretty much confirms it.
Oh yeah, I also fixed the release date in the sidebar which still read the 25th.
EDIT: Wow, you should check out the Gizmondo entry on Wiki, particularly the bottom part regrarding Controversy and Bankruptcy. Now it's pretty much a given the Gizmondo version will never come out . . .
With any luck, perhaps a few people will take an interest in it (who hadn’t already) and perhaps join our little digital community. |
That would be certainly be nice. That's kind of why I'm calling out the person who did that update. I'd like to see these these people updating the Wiki, join our community instead of just lurk. Not that there's anything wrong with that . . . but it would be nice to see some new faces and hear from them, as fellow Tron fans.
