Vortex.exe has pointed out a very Tron like series on Cartoon Network. It's called Zixx Level One. From the same people who did Bionicle, the show is from Canada and already has a second season called Zixx Level Two.
The plot centers around kids going into a "Third Dimension" type game world to fight an alien war in a labyrinth type game setting. The show uses live action for the real world shots, and an actual game enegin,Touchdown Entertainment's Lithtech game engine, for the game world animation. Now check out the 3rd Dimension character designs. Any clue why they look so familiar?

Hmm - cool.
It looks like the producers of Zixx are big TRON fans! 
And the imagery from the show does look TRON-like in terms of the character design, etc.

Thanks Sketch. Like he said, I found this on CN, but only caught a glimps of it...and I thought, "Holy cow, a new Tron TV show!!!" I was freakin' out until I reallized it was CN, not Disney. This made me sad...
But I did some searching and found a lot of info on the show...I even started a thread right here on the Sector...unfortunately, I tried to post it and it erased itself...
I was simply giving a heads up to look for the show...but after the first try, I haven't really had time.

I have to wonder if these characters are not reworks of stuff from TRON 2.0 and the planned sequel?
There is one character in there that is nearly identical to an image I have from the TRON 3.0 game ideas.
TRON 2.0 and Zixx are both done in Lithtech, so it's possible.
If nothing else, Zixx benefitted from the work done for TRON 2.0.

Very interesting! I would've rather just had a Tron 3.0 video game, since I'll probably never watch this Tron "knock-off" cartoon

I guess it is possible that character visual designers are tron fanatics.

YEA. Not on the tron 3 stuff, but the inclusion of something other than Code: Lyoko to watch...

well knowing the methods to how they do what they do is relly hald the battle, reinventing the wheel is not always desireable when trying to build a better car. So if someone has a wheel already, then we can easily move over to car deisgn faster
