Sharing my Tron related project

on Monday, November, 21, 2005 9:29 AM
A week ago, or so, I posted a question about the relative scale between the Lightcycles, tanks, and Recognizers... Well, the first of a few Tron related images is done. Click here to see it.
I say "Tron related" because the scene is not one found in the film, and (I'm sure to the dismay of purists) I took a few minor liberties with the subjects.

Thanks for all of the input that helped with this project.

Comments are always welcome.

I think it looks brilliant! Looks like production art that could have came right from the film's art department. ^_^order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

I may have answered my own question. I see you mention Strata 3D CX in the other thread.

Wow, thanks for the rave reviews, guys!

Thanks, TriggerEXE. That really means a lot. Especially since my recent move towards 3D illustration and animation is done with the intention of eventually getting into just that area.

Thanks, Carl. Your scale of the tank to Lightcycle was key in the development of this project. And yes, you're correct - I'm using Strata 3D CX 4.2. In the next few weeks I'm going to be purchasing Lightwave and Modo... I'm curious to see how my art changes as I learn Lightwave. ...Don't get me wrong, I love Strata and I'd recommend it to anyone, but there is no denying that Lightwave allows a greater degree of artistic expansion and expression through a more powerful toolset.

And I don't mind the nomination at all. ...I'm honored.

Nicely done, ettercap! Bravo!

Man, if I hard any artistic talent whatsoever . . . I'd try doing some TRON 3-D artwork. But alas, I don't. So I'll leave it up to the professionals.

Thanks, Redrain!

The fact that this was so well received makes me really want to complete the others all that much sooner.

Very beautiful... I'm envious of your talent.
Would you be interested in helping a fellow fanatic realize a large-scale project?

I'll PM you with what I have in mind later...

Sorry I'm chiming in late on this one - been busy and missed some threads along the way.

Nice "Pursuit!" image!

I've added it to the image gallery under fan art. It's the first image in your own fan art section.

If you've got more, I'll be happy to archive them here at The Sector along with that one!

Todd -

Thanks! And no worries about coming in "Late." ...time is strictly relative on-line.

There will be other images, but they're still in the works (one is rendering now, and depending on how it's received it may be available tonight... no promises though). The image using Grid Bugs is in a constant state of flux: and depending on my system's ability to handle the scene will effect how it may get modified from sketch to final render. The next image that will be available is not as exciting as "Pursuit!", but I'm hoping it'll be visually striking through color (this approach has proven to be rather challenging).

Anyway, I digress - Thanks, Todd. I'll let everyone know when the next image is available.
