Get your attention, funny Programs?
It would be a dream gone real, the whole "Love Scene" package rolled into the 'theatrical movie' - featuring Boxleitner and Morgan back aboard, dubbing the few missing lines.
What's wrong with this? Why didn't they this before? I'm waiting for something in the 25th anniversary of the "TRON PHENOMENON" -------------> let's face it, this is MORE than a movie, this is the "Star Wars" of the computer geeks 
The 20th Anniversary DVD of "TRON" was somewhat of a big hit, speaking about DVD sales. This movie is keeping to fruit $$$$$ in the company's engrossed pockets. There's definitely a cult following large enough to keep a Director's Cut title on the top of the charts for 3 months at least.
Can we start a friggin' PETITION? I don't even want a supposed sequel, I don't wanna anything anymore, I want my "TRON" re-loaded with the missing scenes! I don't think the costs for this would be prohibitive, so Lisberger, what are you waiting for?

The 20th Anniversary DVD of "TRON" was somewhat of a big hit, speaking about DVD sales. This movie is keeping to fruit $$$$$ in the company's engrossed pockets. There's definitely a cult following large enough to keep a Director's Cut title on the top of the charts for 3 months at least.

Last time Cindy stayed with my wife and I, she and I actually discussed dubbing the missing lines ourselves. She knows Bruce and thought she might be able to talk him into doing his parts too. Never got around to doing it though. Maybe next time she's in LA we can try that out.
I doubt we will see a Director's Cut from Disney any time soon, but maybe on a fan level we can get it done? I've certainly got the ability, I just need the time, and Cindy back in LA!

The 20th editition DVD was packed with so many goodies I can't think of anything that would top it. 
One thing I would not like to see is the LightCycle music re-instated. I thought the Lightcycle scene worked better without it.
Having the Walter Cronkite Tron Special as an extra featurette would be kind of cool though. I think CBS owns that though, and not Disney. *shrugs*

Sheesh, am I that good?
It would be fun to do. There is a theatre here in LA that Steven wants me to investigate for a possible screening of TRON. Wouldn't it be cool to have something like this to show the fans? If only.
Well, I will add it to my TODO list and let's see what we can achieve.
Can anyone do professional video editing to get it into a format compatible with the video? If I can get you the audio, I need somebody to assemble the finished package.

Ya know. I have DVD ready clips of many of these promos, commercials, trailers and the TRONkite piece. Perhaps I need to make up a DVD for the fans? That could be cool. It's not doing the fans any good sitting on my hard drive. It's just too damn big to upload here all the time.

I keep meaning to buy the 20th aniversary DVD, but I never get around to it.

From what I understand, the sales of the 20th Anniversary DVD took Disney totally by surprise . . . they had a big hit on their hands.
Which is why I still don't quite get why they let it sit on the backburner and show so little interest.

Ummm, My sister does. Her boss has the experience to do anything you can throw at him, I'll ask him what he thinks about this, he's really cool, so maybe you can figure a way to do it.

I think the biggest problem is "hanging on" Alan Bradley himself... oh, pardon, I mean TRON himself. That's the biggest problem. Yeah, I could make low-res crappy versions with RM, but I won't! I can just as easily make a low-res version AVI or MPG which are better formats than RM. A good tight Quicktime file would be the best way.

We will differ on this point forever. I will NEVER use Real format for any of my video. I just don't like it. MPG works great for me right now and Quicktime is my ultimate goal.
