Last Mac I had was in 1990. It was a Mac Classic II, with a monochrome monitor, 4MB of ram and 80MB Hard Drive.
That will be the last mac I will ever own. |

I finally realized something about the Macs (basically current) in general--
Macs are like using a PC without the mouse...
If you want the frustration of using a mouse with one button, why not try using the PC without the mouse instead??

you know something, you might just be [as far as i can tell]
and how can a brand of computer be a "race"
the only reason i'm not particularly fond of macs is that most computer games are made for PC. of course having said that, my mac-using scottish pal and i regularly play UT2004 together, which is even crazier considering you need 2 mouse buttons to play that game.
for what i want to use a computer for, macs just don't seem all that practical. also, i have been raised as a windows user, and change would be...uncomfortable

I'm pretty sure he was kidding.
My problems with Macs just stem from an old problem I had because Macs at one time were not overly easy to upgrade and maintain. They used propritary hardware and software that made them expensive to own.
Now, a lot may have changed since I had my Mac or worked with them... so my biases may now be unfounded. But given the choice, I'd probably still go with the PC.

I bounce back and forth between PCs and Macs. I can tell you, I'm not fond of Macs and I'm constantly using my laptop mouse with it to get past the one-button nightmares. However, I do recall there was one button mice for the PC though. Although, I haven't used one in years!

As far as I know, you can buy a third party mouse to solve the one buttoned mouse hell.
Macs really *hate* me. They refuse to work when I'm around. I don't know why, honestly!
I grew up with both Apple ][ (at school) and C64 (at home). =Porder abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I'm a PC man, all the way.
I've been forced to use Apple products a few times, and I've always been more than happy to get back on a PC as quickly as possible.
Though, in all honesty I do miss my C64 sometimes.
There were plenty of great games for the C64, and I had great times playing them.

I've always been annoyed with Quicktime. I think there are much better media players out there than that (I personally prefer RealPlayer due to the fact that there's quite a few decent .rm or .rmvb files out there. ) Quicktime has always been slow and relatevly painful for me. I'd probably be much more father ahead watching a 100gig harddrive defrag....

Kamui,
I am exactly the opposite. I find Real formats clunky, slow and usually far smaller than they need to be. Quictime is often a large, glorious picture and pretty quick to load compared to Windows formats and Real player. Just my opinion. To each their own.

.Avi are clunky, slow and stupid and way bigger than they need to be. Anyways, as far as .rm/.rmvb goes, I'm quite happy with them. I've never found them clunky or overly small or even slow for that matter. If you go to Bleach Portal, you'll see that .rm are relatevly nicely sized, quite fast, and not nearly as bulky. Matter of fact, these were the guys who completely changed my views on Real Player. I pretty much use Real Player religiously now. ^^;;

LOL! I've got to remember that one for my dad. He'd love that one. It reminds me a bit of something I said once which sounds a little like this: "Intelligance is like a much needed fresh breeze when the rest of the world has dealt a really bad fart." Great.... it's late over here and now I'm feeling silly and I have you to blame for it!
