OK, it's been 10 days since I hit 2700 posts. This is 2799!
I haven't held a contest in a while, but I think that 3000 posts is a good reason.
The prize package will include the following:
A signed TRON 2.0 poster (Signatures to be determined by availability)
A CD with some prime artifacts from the TRON archives. Stuff you can't get here on TS!
A TRON 2.0 lanyard
A TRON 2.0 promo card
A TRON 2.0: Killer App mini poster
Some other items to be revealed in coming weeks! I am going through my collection next weekend to find an item or two.
The Rules
One guess.
You may guess again only after your original guess has passed.
Your guess must be in this forum only.
Your guess must be in the form of a day and the hour that my 3000th post will appear.
Guesses must be in Pacific Standard Time which is the time zone I post from. EXAMPLE: 11/15/2004 between 6PM and 7 PM.
Each guess can be only for 1 hour of the day. You cannot block out an entire day with one guess.
The first person to post the guess for a specific hour has that hour. Any other guesses for that same hour are considered active, but will not win.
Read the forum before making a guess to avoid locking yourself into a time already chosen by someone else.

Dave.... can we ask questions.. like... are you going on vacation within the next month or plan to be away from the PC for any reason?
Also, what times of the day do you mostly post? At work? From home?
Also, are you open for bribes in order to stack the results in my favor?

Tori - *Bring in the logic probe!!* so we can understand you. haha, j/k. No, actually, it made sense. But you should still guess It'll just get harder if you wait, because you then have to read through everyone's guess before guessing.
Dave - I found a possible loophole. Someone could just keep guessing a time from tomorrow's date. Then once that day/time passes, they'd just post another guess for the next day. And so on, always posting for tomorrow's date (relatively speaking). They could even do it by hours, if they wanted -- especially on the last day when you're getting close. Are you cool with this? Maybe there needs to be another stipulation surrounding that rule, as in our guessed date must be at least 3 or 4 days from now, or something like that.
Regardless, I'm not gonna do that. Here's my guess:
9/20/2005: Between 6pm-7pm.
Also, what if somebody erroneously says, "Tuesday, September 5th" as their date. If you look at a calendear, that's actually a Monday. Do you go by the "Tuesday" they said or the "September 5th"? I would assume the latter, but wanted to make it clear up-front in case there are any errors in the guesses.

Any errors in guesses will be judged by Sketch, Todd and I.
As for the loophole, yes, I am OK with that.

Wait, I get a prize for hitting 3,000? Cool! Can't wait to see it! Sketch did that cool 'Catch Sketch' drawing for that little contest. Is it along those lines?
