I LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK.

End of line.

Greetings, yes/no/yes/no and welcome to TRON-Sector!

TRON is one of your FIRST memories? How cool is that! I was 11 when I saw it in the theatre in 1982, so it wasn't even close to a first memory, but it is a very strong memory. I actually have memory of seeing it in the theatre, and my grandparents taking my brother and I to see it... and my grandpa falling asleep during the film. I was on the edge of my seat and didn't want it to end!

Skipping school to record TRON on beta is an admirable excuse in my book. My first copy of TRON was when it was aired on NBC one Sunday afternoon (likely after the HBO airing) and my Dad had to set the VCR to record it because we were going to visit my cousins that day. I didn't want to go, but felt better knowing that my beloved film was being recorded while I was away.

Well, I was only about three or four when Tron came out, and I'm not kidding here, I saw a double feature of Tron and Raiders of the Lost Ark at a drive-in. Perhaps my earliest memory, and definitely one of the best!

Hey, long time TRON fan, and while I've owned TRON 2.0 for a year now, I just recently got a computer that could play it. Played it through once, loved it, and now I'm going through and playing it better.

Glad this place is here.

Anyone know Yori Skywalker BTW? Just an old friend and fellow TRON fan I'm looking for. We used to run the Delphi TRON forum in the late nineties. It is still there.

Take care, glad to find this place.

EEK! I remember her!! She's one of the ones quoted in that "Tron Slang Dictionary" thread that I archived and posted on this board a little while ago! She also added a bit to that Addventure thread based off of the movie, that I (mostly) wrote, at Game 3.

Hey, somebody else still remembers her. And those forums. Do you remember Mistress Control Program? That was me! I'm the one who wrote that cheesy story about Alan and Lora using the digitizing laser to get to Hawaii for their honeymoon, if you recall that... :P

You had for a year BEFORE you could play it? Whoa!

Glad you finally got to enjoy it. The first thing I did after playing through it for the first time was play through it again! That seems to be a common reaction to the game.

Ack! The forum is still there! And I'm listed as the "BBS Maintenance" (really? Dang, I'm doing a bad job of it then. :P) Oh, man, I remember that place. And look! Totally hyper, badly-written posts by the former me! Awww...

Dude, that place is probably, like, more oldschool-me archived in one place than I've been able to find anywhere else. Even that neatazoid Wayback Machine site only archives little bits and _pieces_ of old messageboards...

And while I'm at it: Autowoman! I finally got around to looking at your site. Turns out I know _you_ from before, too! I've seen your webdolls site many times, and I may or may not also know you from a Dungeons and Dragons cartoon fandom website. I posted on a board of that show for a while. I know I know a "Draka" from at least one other place, but the one I know is a Darkwing Duck fan...

So fun to find out that the "one" person you just met is actually tons of different characters all over the 'net and has actually been active in LOTS of different fandoms, for years. I'm like that, too. Captain Chaotica, Mistress Control Program, Cleolanta, Dr. Forrester, Mello, Notorious...we're _takin' over_, man. Viva us old people! :P

Man it is good to see you again, MCP! I am amazed that Delphi still has the forums still up. It is like they funnel in the server space and don't care if it is used. They just keep it up. so I keep posting to it from time to time. But no Yori. (Sniff!) I hope one day she'll resurface and that she is ok out there. Seems she dropped off the internet around 2003 as best I can tell, but she was one hell of a TRON fan.

Thanks for the welcome. What do you think of the new TRON fandom (TRON 2.0 and all that) which we have seen since?

Thanks for the welcome! Yeh, it took getting through TRON 2.0 to realize what I really needed to do to understand that game. Like that you had to actually put the armor in the main ring under F1 to use it. LOL! Man, must have been practically to the end of the game before realizing that. And the Cluster Disc... oh man!!! Hmm...the new fandom. Well, I don't know that much about it yet, I guess. I am in general glad that the movie/world of TRON is better-known than it used to be, getting more fans, getting more love, being mentioned more...even in forms such as parodies and people using "inspired by" images for their home-made music videos. It's all good.

I would LOVE to play either of the Kingdom Hearts games, but haven't yet. (Not just 2, because of the Tron world in it--I want both, 'cos I've also been a Final Fantasy fan since the first game hit American shores in 1990 and didn't HAVE a "1" after its name!--_and_ I like a lot of Disney stuff. The first game has Hercules in it for example--I love that show! And I'm down with the old classic characters Mickey, Donald and Goofy.)
Problem is, I already have way too many systems around this place that I don't want to get rid of, and this place is _so_ small...there are only so many places you can stuff something you're not using at the moment back into, to get it out of the way. We have _so_ many tangled wires for so many electronic devices with no place to properly store them already, that there comes a point at which you must say: "Enough." and make a conscious decision to buy no more videogame consoles.

So until the Kingdom Hearts games hit PC, which will probably _never happen_ (sniff) I can never play them. Pity me!

Then of course Tron 2.0. I, believe it or not, am currently in the process of playing the game _for the first time_. Because it took me a while to find a copy, is why. I figured out the thing about the F1 and how to configure my sub-routines right away--that was vitally necessary to any chance whatsoever of my surviving, so I of course glommed right onto it. I absolutely STINK at this game. You have no IDEA how bad. I can die in places you'd think nobody could _die_ in. Even using a cheat code to heal myself constantly, I can die SO freaking fast. I have to save like _crazy_ to get anywhere.

You ever seen that episode of Frasier where Niles is trying to play a videogame with Frederick? "What is this, some kind of super-hard level?" "This is the entryway. I didn't even know you could _die_ here." That's me. I literally died in the first room a few times! :P
It's because I never, ever play FPSs. Hate the whole genre, usually, to tell the truth. I don't have quick reflexes and I'm not good at moving smoothly in first-person 3D--I much prefer games in which you tell a story, solve a puzzle, grow an empire, or some such. Platformers are about as actiony as I usually get, and I can be decent at those. Including newer 3D Sonic games.

But FPS? Avoid them like a virus. The only reason I am playing Tron 2.0 is because it's, well, TRON! It's got other things going for it too, though, that helps--the "build points" bit that resembles gaining levels in RPG fashion, the platform-style jumping, and of course the story, with cutscenes and stuff, and the backstory you get with the e-mails! That all rocks, and makes it way cooler for me. Also, of course, I mean, the game is GORGEOUS. Graphics aren't everything, but this really does make me feel like I'm back in the world of the movie--while still also somehow feeling like a modern-day, fancy-graphiced game. I'm not sure how they did it, but it's very neat.
Anyway, I have been going through the game slowly on purpose to make it last longer. I took a break for a while 'cos I was sick, but I'll probably go back to it fairly soon.

I have also played _most_ of Tron 2.0 GBA version, but the last time I saved I was in the middle of trying to do one of those hack-into-the-thingie puzzles, and I am stuck, I just CANNOT figure out how to do this puzzle in time. Maybe when I'm less frustrated I'll try it again. I think I was near the end of the game, though.

Haven't read the new comics yet, but would if I saw them and had money...

And that's my take so far on the new fandom.

FMV games, yeh I know what you mean. I have not been a huge fan of such games since Dragon's Lair.

Now I have to say that if you are going to have movies in the game, make it a point to make them good movies and good quality. When I play Iron Soldier II on the Atari Jaguar I often say "Man, the game is better than the movie" Or at least they could have done better.

TRON I liked how the movies matches the rendering engine of the game, so it was not obvious. Though I REALLY wish they would have gone to live action shots when outside of the computer, just like in the first TRON movie.

And Kingdom Hearts does look good from what I've seen of the TRON stuff. Just wish that was not a retrend of a TRON story, but a new story. That would have rocked.

TRON for GBA... good stuff. Just got it, can't wait to try that on the GameCube with the GBA adaptor. Yeh, TRON, Discs of Tron, plus that game where TRON comes back? What a deal! Just wish "Tron Deadly Discs" for the Intellivision would get ported to a GameBoy or something.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Greetings, Ram Herr Pistachios! Or should I call you my good friend Jono, who borrowed my Tron DVD for the weekend? That makes a grand total of two people who I've converted into Tron-Sectorites!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Todd is... well, you'll find out soon enough. He's a one-man welcome committee, you could say.

Sure, I've only made two tronites, but I've shown it to four people (including you), and I have one other person asking to borrow it (that being Dave C).abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

To change your avatar, click on 'Edit' by 'Profile' in the top-right corner of the page. Then, enter an image URL next to 'Profile Icon'. 600x60 pixel images work best.
