Re: Tron comic book bonus material suggestions?

.... Speaking to what I previously posted, since the true traditional uses of a project like tron have only been adressed in a closed door meeting, I just want to make it appearent that if anything were going to be digitized, we would go to space.
The possibilities of traveling would make anything here on earth useless. we would not need to move. welcome to star tron.
We could be rearranging the universe to suit our taste if this machine existed, dont think about politics, or CAFTA, or China for a sec. But that is what we would do with this. Money would be useless, we would populate anything we could plant our feet onto. Unless you thought about politics, and CAFTA, China, then you would be (name your country)___ drone.

Jademz,

I am working on a story along those lines. I had proposed the idea to Steven Lisberger at one of our lunch meetings, but he didn't care for it. I still think it has some merit and I am hoping to make it my own little computer world at some point in time.

I'm sorry. I may be missing something. Space is... real space. Digitization is only inside a computer.

What do you mean by Space? Do you mean limitless property inside a digital domain?

Or are you talking Dune type folding space?

I am making a simple statement. but it's a little tough. I dont know anything about the lifetech crowd,(or thier killerapp) If you make a machine capable of digitizing something into a computer, obviously you would be able to use radio to transfer that data. With the abilities of digitized radio points, you may be able to travel the data to a digitization point. Or, another scenario, would be long range beacons to carry a signal. But with hyperdimensional physics knocking on your door, you may just look for those disappearing naval ships in parallel dimenisions, so it's one of those hard to please scenarios. you just have to read it right. So, short of having a top secret gov. lab, I'm out of material.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

The development of a device like the one in Tron has got to be the only one basically of this time. so, if it were a possibility, to use a device that stores data and transfers data, it could be simplified, but still potentiated to hyperdimensional possibilities, not "warping space"(or maybe not).
I know this is a touchy topic in a sense, as it's been used by anything on sci fi channel.. But it's true qualities would basically be just that, hyperdimensional, which would mean using your mind, as one with the "machine", and space. So, if you look up hyperdimensional travel, its like a ghost in the machine. I would say, since I'm not yet convinced of these top secret "tesla telescope" inventions, I am not qualified to really say it could be done, but Tron has many avenues, I'm sure Lisberger knows all about it.

But to make that an answer to your question... hehe.

The transporters on ST rely on resources made up for ST. it could be, that it is the most reliable way to achieve p2p travel, but it's not specific enough. They use it for several hyperdimensional uses throughout the series, and infact it seems to be possible without any starship whatsoever. as I see it, machine to machine. so you would basically remain put untill something capable of maintaining life has been digitally manufactured into the universe or whatever.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Jademz:

There are definitely some aspects of what you're talking about already planned in the comic. In fact, the working title is "Ghost in the Machine".

But what I'm really asking for in this thread is suggestions for extra material. Like interviews, character bios and the like. The actual content of the series had to go through the Disney machine for approval over a year ago, so not much will change from what is planned.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!

Personally, I like the idea of the poster pictures that glow in the blacklight (or the dark, which was what I was going to suggest. )

Like I said, I doubt we could do that. It would likely be cost prohibitive. I'll check, but I am skeptical.

And really, there will be lots of artwork in the book. What the space is to be used for is a text piece of some kind. Interviews, overview of the history of Tron, character bios, that sort of thing.

I like the idea of some pinup pictures of key characters from TRON history. Just some really cool drawings of them.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Pin-ups could work in with the concept of bios. But it would likely consist of artwork pulled from the book itself.

We lack the resources to contract much extra in the way of artwork. We're limited in what will be allowed in the approval process. This is why I keep leaning back towards text. Text material is easier to gain approval on and cheaper to produce. Furthermore, my personal bias leans towards additional text. I like the idea of something that makes the comic that much more of a reading experience rather than a looking experience.

Perhaps an article on the history of Tron video games, both official and unofficial?

Some colors glow intersting in black lights. Wouldn't have to be special ink. Just done in a way that would look cool under black light.

Well, no offence but we can get additional "text" right here on the Tron-Sector. If you want comic "extras", it's going to have to be something unique and something special... like artwork. Sorry

I know text is cheap... but we can get that here for free.

I bet there are some artists here at the Tron Sector that would give their work away for free just to be published. Why not ask some people here for free artwork?

Yes, You can get text material here for free. But the fact is, you can get graphics free here as well. There is nothing any more unique and special about printing graphics then there is printing text. The idea is something that helps spread the popularity of Tron to the people who might not decide to come and look at a Tron specific website. Something that helps encourage the creation of NEW fans so that they come to places like this, yet still is interesting material to those hardcore fans already here.

So, we have about two pages available that are not currently promised out to specific material. I'm specifying text because that's what the space in question is for. Most of the other 32 pages are already devoted to artwork. We're already looking at a 90 some odd percent balance of art to text. Art will not be ignored. There will be lots and lots of art. But these two pages will be best served being used for text material. It's a matter of creating a magazine that actually can be read rather than just looked at. The difference between a page devoted to a single drawing and a page devoted to text is huge as far as money x time = value.

As far as free artwork: Hopefully at some point we will be able to produce a fan art section. That's something that will be further down the road though. There are many issues that need ot be addressed contractually before we can even approach that.

ok.. get someone to cough up some logistics on the server, LC, Qubit command, (sup. 'puter) something. Tron is engineered, from top to bottom. That's what made it interesting.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

That would be good as well it is something very similar that I ahve seen even in Text form for Star Trek the original series and up to the next generation. I have it I think in the manual for the Enterprise I believe. I would ahve to double check on this to make sure.
