I have a beehive in my backyard now. I was out mowing the lawn and got stung twice. Once on the calf and once right on the forehead (that one severely smarts!)
It's an average of $150 to remove a beehive, here. Sweet huh? I could think of 1.75 million other things to spend $150 on than removing a beehive.

Where is the hive located? If it's on a tree branch, maybe you could somehow get a drum of water beneath it and then cut the branch and dunk 'em.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

I once watched a [not so] expert technique in beehive removal in operation:
1. hold a plastic bag beneath the hive, use a long machete/knife to cut it from the tree into the bag,
2. hook the bag to a long fishing pole or stick - away from face preferably
3. drop bag containing bees + hive onto a large camp fire.
4. run inside
Please don't try this though.

Well, this is another sore spot (along with the rapidly speading welt on my forehead).
I made a "tortoise home" a while ago, which was a dug out hole, layered with bricks and wood covered with dirt and leaving a small opening in front. But then the tortoise escaped, leaving an empty home. Guess where the bees moved into?
I should have torn down the home when the tortoise escaped. But... *shrugs*. I am lazy. Now that laziness will cost me $150.

if it actually is underground, you could make a tiny amount of explosives and blast them out
my parents tried this. it worked. then it started raining dead bees.
looking back on it now, it sounds hilarious. where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Dude, if you knew me you would not reccommend anything explosive, flamable, caustic, poisonous, sharp, electrical, or anything with the words "heavy" and "machinery" in its title.
Were I to take explosives to the hive it would be me missing something... not the bees.
I give "accident prone" a whole new meaning.

If it's just a hold in the ground couldn't you just put something over the opening?
Maybe run a (long) hose and flood it?

Well,
I can attest that these bees are extremely hostile. In the time it would take me to attempt to board up the opening I would be stung multiple times. The opening is not uniform anyway and just a board wouldn't seal it. Dirt has fallen down around it and made the opening rough. It would need to be cemented up or plastered over.
About the hose. I considerd that except for a couple of things:
1) The wife says no. (reference above accident prone thread)
2) The bees would get agitated by this. This means they might fly out and swarm about in a pretty pissed off state. I live in a neighborhood with houses pretty close together. This means they COULD potentially spill over into someone else's yard and sting them, or their kids and pets.
I would need something to subdue them immediately, like smoke or something. As much as I hate to admit it, I think I'll need a professional to do this to get it done right.

Pretty much all bees are now Africanized. Yeah, if they had been more agitated than they were I definately would have been in a world of hurt.

What????
Africanized bees would have gone fully out of their way to attack you, ESPECIALLY mowing the lawn. No, africanized bees are displacing natural bees, not breeding with them. "Having is not as pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true."

The simple answer that I usually use (With success because I've never been stung before. Matter of fact, I have no idea what that feels like ^^;; ) Anyways, I pretty much use RAID and spray the heck out of the hive and make a break for it until I know for sure they're dead. Then dispose of the hive. Seems to work with wasp nests too.
