Lucas Originally wrote 9 Movies so RotJ isnt the end, try reading the Dark Empire books. There Heavily based on the 3 movies Lucas wrote after RotJ but decided not to make them.

Do you have any proof that Lucas wrote 3 scripts for after RotJ? I've read that too but others have told me that it wasn't true. I'm even aware of these:

Star Wars Episode 7 Plot Summary
Star Wars Episode 8 Plot Summary
Star Wars Episode 9 Plot Summary
However most have told me those were fake. I simply don't know but would like to,

Carl

Hmmm... looks like I should have checked those links before I posted them. Looks like www.g00ns.com took over the site. Not sure I understand how that works. They were working just a few days ago.

I've seen an interview with Lucas himself where he said he originally wrote 9 and that the books Dark Empire were based on the stories after. He did say he had no intention of making any of those movies. But there is penty of material to make things that happen between movies (this was before the clone wars tv series was released). So who knows what we might see next

While it is true that Lucas has supposedly "fleshed out" the later episodes, what is totally unfounded is the notion those crude spiral notebooks' worth of scribblings were ever made known to anyone but himself.

So, I'd take everything concerning Episode 7 through 9 with a grain of salt, everything from supposedly leaked synopsis to declarations they're ever going to be made.

Although, Lucas has announced his intentions to make yet another film, dating vastly farther into the future than Episode I, perhaps in Yoda's prime. That in addition to two new T.V. series, we have plenty more Star Wars coming without any sight of anything after the OT's time.

George Lucas Talks On 'Star Wars' Sequels 7, 8 & 9
[Monday, September 13th, 2004]
George Lucas talked to MTV about the recent rumors of three more sequels, heres what he had to say to them.
Don't expect any more "Star Wars" flicks after "Revenge of the Sith" — George Lucas says he's done.

"This was never planned as a nine-episode work," Lucas said. "The media [pounced when] I made an offhand comment, 'It might be fun to

come back when everyone's 80 and do another one of these.' But I never had any intention of doing that."

Lucas said he only decided to do the back-story trilogy — which "Sith," due next May, will cap — because he realized he had already written it in order to tell the story in the first "Star Wars" films. "The original 'Star Wars' was only three films, and that was what it was meant to be," he said. "After a lot of pondering and thought, I went back to do the back story, but that pretty much tells the story. Episode six is the end. There isn't any more to it."

"Sith" may mark the end on an emotional level, too. "All the good guys die," he said, laughing. "And you know, it's pretty dark. It's pretty intense. I'm not sure this one is going to end up a PG like the others were."

That apparently doesn't have so much to do with actual violence — like previous "Star Wars" films, this one will have lots of battles and space action — as with what happens to Padme and the children borne from her union with Anakin Skywalker following their escape and separation. "It's a happy story," Lucas joked.

The web is ablaze with this stuff. theforce.net is the biggest sw site and it doesn't post rumours, only bare facts and its posting all this stuff on Star wars 7. I can't believe George would continue on the basis that its good business - thats so wrong. i hope nothing happens.

I agree. Star Wars films should end now.

To proceed in either direction, before Anakin or after Vader, would reduce Star Wars to the level of Star Trek. Not that I dislike Star Trek, it's just we already have one of those.

Anakin/Vader IS Star Wars. Another film without him would be where the saga jumps the shark.
