Mine is a first gen console and still running great. I do agree that the launch of the PS2 was terrible. You never launch something that everyone wants and not have any product.
But not ONLY Sony does that. The Ninendo DS was in full demand and there were basically none available. When it's video game consoles it's usually because of parts shortages, and I think that's what happened to the PS2.
I personally like Sony. The PS, PS2 and PSP have been excellent game systems. I also liked that the PS2 was the first console to have their $20 "best sellers" games come out.
I like my GBA SP and X-Box too. Although the GBA seems kinda pointless now.

I don't know much about the new consoles. I do know that Sony isn't doing too well right now. They have a new ceo by the name of Howard Stringer, who is the first non-japanese person to ever be in charge of Sony. That made big news. He revived the entertaiment branch of Sony, which is why he was chossen. He will run the company via New York. I did an editoral assignment in illustration class that covered this. Sony is streamlining alot of it's branches and products right now to prop them selves back up. Stringer has his hands full right now cause Apple is keeping eye on some of their divisions in case Sony trips and falls.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

*blink*
My PS2 is still working fine. I thought there was a problem with it, but the problem turned out to be the power in my house. (It's a mix of old and new wiring... my room is in the old part of the house, so... things that eat power really quickly can blow out a fuse.)
I may be accused of being a sony fan, but I am willing to acquire nintendo consoles as well. (I just bought the gamecube and I've had my gbasp for two years now.)
However, I don't think I can invest in X-Box, ever. (Personal reasons that I don't want to discuss.)
Edit-- Correction. The killzone 2 demo was recorded at the studios but it's still real-time. Eh. The controvesy about it is stupid anyway, it's driving me nuts that people have to start fights over this. It's supposed to be entertaining not be the end of all things or something. *sigh*abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I can't even think about consoles while I have yet to buy a new PC.
My old PC is still in great shape but it just chokes on the new games.
Unfortunately I recently had to buy a new car to replace my old one (I miss my '96 Impala SS but my slightly used '01 Tahoe is great) so I've got to chill a bit before I take the plunge and drop a few grand on a new tower.
I know $400.00 is nowhere near as painful in the pocketbook as a few grand, but I have too many great PC games that I'm not willing to let sit idle. I'm better off buying a new PC and dual booting with Windows 98 so I can play all my old games and any new ones.
However, just for argument's sake, if I were to go for it I'd definitely get the new Xbox 360.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Classics lol. I hear that the PS3 is gonna cost around £250 and the new XBox is looking for the £300 range again. I see there still pushing there one and only decent title on the Xbox. Halo 3, Halo was the only good game on the xbox there wasnt anything out for the xbox that you couldnt get on a PS2 or PC (Except for that really stupidly expensive mech game you know what I mean that one with the joystick you had to build for it). I hear the Xbox is pushing for online gaming more in this generation.
I think this could be it for Nintendo there not really pushing or advertising there new console, could they do the same way as Saga? and just become a Game Company? I hear the Xbox and the Nintendo machine are not backwards compatable which I think will really damage there buisness. Where as the PS3 is backwards compatable all the way back to the original PS1 (I think this is because a friend I have in Japan who says there are still companies making ps1 games.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Well, Nintendo has already said that the Revolution will play ALL GameCube games, so backwards compatability is definite.
The X-Box 360 will be backwards compatable with all of its best-selling X-Box titles (but as the developers have said, when you pick the games that taxed the system to its limit, you can make pretty much any game compatable).
If you think Halo is the only good game on the X-Box, you've obviously never played one! Frickin' Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive Ultimate, soon-to-be-released Conker: Live & Reloaded (with complete remake of the original N-64 Conker's Bad Fur Day), Panzer Dragoon Orta (the follow-up to the original Sega Saturn series), all of the GTA games (with better graphics, new features and customizable soundtracks), Doom 3 (with ability for two people to play through the game together on X-Box Live), soon-to-be-released Half-Life 2 (which even its developers say has aspects that look better than the PC version), all of the EA and ESPN 2K sports games with customizable soundtracks and actual real-time halftime and postgame video reports (not just the still pictures the PS2 did, but complete multi-angle replays of your actual game), Jet Set Radio Future, Jade Empire, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Morrowind, and many others! Give the system a chance before condemning it!
I hope the systems deliver on their potential. For my friends on this board who are Sony buyers - may your PS3 be everything you want it to be and more!
For the Nintendo fans, may they get their heads out of their butts and give gamers what they want, not what the old guys who run the company THINK they want!
For X-Box fans, may the system deliver on everything they say it will and if it does, we'll be happy gamers to be sure! I really like the fact that the X-Box 360 controllers allow one-touch access to your Live account AND even let you power down the system from them! You don't have to even touch the system - you can power it from the controllers!
DaveTRON!!!! Good to see you back here! I'm sorry, but while the PSP is a nice system, I'm not paying $250 for a handheld...PERIOD. I don't care who put it out. I never play my handheld systems that much, so paying that much when I'd just as easily buy a PS2 and a couple of games for it just doesn't fly with me. When they drop below $100 (if that happens), THEN I'll consider buying one!
And to whoever was mentioning the mech game on X-Box with the $200 controller, that game is called Steel Batallion, and it RULES!!!! I wouldn't pay for it, but a buddy of mine did and I have to say that when you see all of the buttons on that controller and see what all it takes to even start up your mech, it's nothing short of impressive! You have specific buttons for launching your system, a button for ejection from your mech, several buttons for your various weapons system, pedals for moving your mech (yes, your feet even get in the game) and all kinds of other stuff! It's the closest I'll ever be to sitting in the cockpit of a Robotech mech robot!
And for the record, there are games I like on the PS2 - just to show I'm not a system hater, just a company hater. God of War is the bomb! That game frickin' owns! The Ratchet and Clank games are cute, as are Jak and Daxter.
And while this may make folks mad, I haven't enjoyed a Final Fantasy game since the series left the Super NES. I find FF 7 and the rest to be lackluster games with pretty graphics. I didn't care about the characters at all and got tired of casting spells that took 10 minutes of CGI movie to make happen EVERY...SINGLE..TIME you cast it.
Honestly, I always thought Grandia II on the Dreamcast was the game Final Fantasy should have been. But that's just me. Even though I love the X-Box, I have no desire to own an FF game on the 360.
But Elder Scrolls: Oblivion? Different ballgame entirely! That game will own us allorder abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

When I ment by saying Halo is the only decent Title, I meant exscusive. Like for Xbox only, no pc/ps2/game cube titles, the Xbox dosnt really seem to have anything exclusivly going for it. When I used to work in Game (electronics boutique) we all saw it as a rip off, especially when you had to buy the DVD remote to get the Xbox to play it thats another £35 ontop of the £300. And then the remote didnt come with batteries! and then as the months went by all the games that came out for it with the exception of Halo you could get on the PC or PS2 so it really flopped big time in the ukon line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlinewhere to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Of course, I should know to keep my big mouth shut. After saying how much I loved my PSP, I got my first lockup last night It happened with Untold Legends. A Co-Worker said his did the same thing on the same game.
Anyone else have any problems with their PSP locking up? Up until now it's worked flawlessly.

Yeah, Boingo, I'd say it's the game. I'd do a check online to see if others are having that problem (or if there has been an official statement from the game's creators or Sony).
All of the games I mentioned in my post (with the exception of GTA, anything EA and the 2K sports) are all X-Box exclusive, save for Doom 3, KOTOR and Half-Life 2 which are PC/X-Box exclusive. Riddick and Morrowind are also on PC, but PS2 owners don't have any of these games unless it's on their PC (and if I'm wrong on any of those, please correct me).
I'll own an X-Box 360 if for only one game - and no, it's not Halo 3! It's the follow-up to my all-time favorite N64 game: Perfect Dark Zero! Up to 50 people at once online!!!!! That's flippin' sweet! Plus, I'm hearing that graphically it's a killer app for the X-Box 360!
But look at their Live stuff, folks. I don't think Sony can match them for online superiority. X-Box 360 Live is just amazing and comes standard (in Silver package) with every X-Box 360! You can upgrade to Gold for a few bucks more afterwards.
And from what I'm hearing, Sony won't be supplying a hard drive with the PS3. It will be sold separately, which is a huge load of BS, in my opinion.
And according to IGN, Sony revealed in Japan the proposed price for the system and it translates to roughly $465 American. They almost have to due to the amount of stuff in it.
See, here's where I get mad at Sony. They've tried this whole "price training" technique. Basically, they want consumers to say "Well, I paid $250 for my PSP, so $450 is not that bad for a console."
YES IT IS!!!!!! It's highway robbery!
If that system launches for under $400, I'll be PLEASANTLY shocked. But I'm not holding my breath. And for people to pay that much and NOT get a hard drive standard? That's insulting, to me. Good luck finding memory cards at launch, since we all know how they were non-existent in stores for MONTHS after launch, unless you lucked out into finding them every once in a while.
Bill Gates is out for blood, so you watch the X-Box 360 come in for $299 or less at launch, followed by a price drop and the Halo 3 launch when the PS3 launches next Spring/Winter.
This fight is gonna get brutal. Period. Sony has got to have something big at launch - especially with no GTA for launch like they had discussed at one point last year. Killzone 2 better be THE game, because graphics don't do it alone. The original Killzone sucked in my opinion. Could you even jump in that game? I played it once, and it was all I needed. Neat ideas, nice graphics and Brian Cox with cool voiceovers just didn't add up to bad control and an overall story I didn't care for.
Honestly, the best game I've played this year has been Resident Evil 4. Legit. That game is something else! Jade Empire was cool, too!
But, again, like what you like. Everyone has what they like, and as long as you're getting that out of your system, I couldn't be happier for you!
Just don't hate on X-Box to hate on Microsoft. It's an impressive piece of hardware and if you see Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 running on it, you'll see what I mean!

I agree totally. I felt personally miserable when I dropped close to $500 when buying my PS2. That was after the console, extra controller, memory card and ONE game. For me the justification was that I was also getting a DVD player which I didn't have at the time.
I dont see myself doing that again. It will have to come down in price for me to do that again. Besides, I just got an x-box and there are so many titles on that and the PS2 still that I will be kept busy for a long long long time.
I think $250 for the PSP was worth it though, so I guess maybe I am still the video game company's bitch after all.

Ever hear of "waiting"? ^^;
Seriously, guys, you don't always have to get it right off at the launch date... (I wasn't expecting to get a launch date PSP but Silver said that it was for me as graduation/birthday present o_O)
Yes, the price is annoying, but... trust me, they WILL drop. (I got my PS2 when it dropped to 199 from its original launch date price which was 299.)
I didn't buy any games at all (which may have helped save me more money) and instead borrowed games from Silver until I could buy them later.
I also recently acquired a gamecube, but this time around, I bought three games and a memory card. (Spent about 200!)
...I... dang it. I forgot the point of my post. But eh, well, what I'm trying to get at is that you don't have to buy it right off. Just sit and wait then maybe a good bargain will pop up.

Hrm. haven't you heard about men and their toys?
I agree that in THEORY that makes sense, and I was totally going to wait for the PSP to be out a while before getting one... and well you know how that went.
Things that can wait are dentisty, new clothes/shoes, credit card bills, other kinds of bills, ... things like that. definately not video games

Heh, yes, video games are very tempting, but the prices usually remind me that I have to wait.
After all, getting the PS2 with the first price drop was worth the wait.
...but you should hear how my mom gripes about me buying video games. (Oh yeah, I should remind her that Silver has even MORE games than I do. x_x (And more consoles to boot. PSP, PS2, PSX, 3DO (anyone hear of them?), Gamecube, DS, and Dreamcast. I have no idea what else he may have.) Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

Oh yes, Kia, I remember the Panasonic 3DO! My roommate at college had one.
It was cool because I could play Space Ace and Dragon's Lair on it, along with Wing Commander 3.
That was about all that was cool with it!
Sure, you can wait for price drops, but the pain in the butt of that is that you have to wait so long. That's why I like to pick up something at launch.
I got the GameCube at launch and my X-Box a year later when the prices dropped.
I'm totally satisfied with both. I still love my Dreamcast and N64 as well! Samba de Amigo for life, fools!order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill
