Eh... that's what's up doc.
A stapel in animation history, Looney Toons has inspired and made generations upon generations of people laugh with it's classic characters and witty slapstick humor. In hopes to update the characters' appeal among modern kids the WB is going to launch a new "re-imagined" version of Looney Toons called "Loonatics."
"Loonatics" is set in the year 2772. Characters have been changed from toons, to superheros. Each character has a special crime fighting power. For example, Buzz Bunny, yes that's his new name, who is the leader of the Loonatics fighting group, sports lazer vision. What... no Acme atomic rocket powered sneakers? Awww. Here's an image of the cast:
Now don't worry, Warner Brothers isn't putting the classic characters into retirement, that's impossible. Still this is a very risky move for WB. Who knows, it might be a good show, but the big question is can WB pull this off successfuly without it backfiring like a one of Wile E. Coyote's Road Runner traps? *Shrugs*

Just took a look at the trailer there. And that is totally wack in a good way. Spoofing it off of the original characters there. Would be interesting to see if that does come out on TV there.

Man...that Basketball Looney Toons movie was annoying..
The only entertaining one to me was that most recent one, even though there was a huge AD placement for Wall-Mart.
But making Goth-style Looney Toons??
That's just sad.

I've learned that the redesigned characters are suppose to be descendants of the originals characters. So does this mean we might see the originals acting like trainers to these new ones?

I love the old style roadrunner cartoons!
And also, the old Marvin The Martian ones!
My favorite episodes ever are the "What's Opera Doc?" and the "Barber Of Saville" ones!
Hopefully they don't try to remake the old episodes into the new ones.

well, after watching that trailer, i am about 70% certain that this is going to be a flop. *sigh*

Saw the trailer. ... barely any form of them being animated. The only thing that was animated was their mouth talking. I found this to be quite creepy... not quite smooth and flowing like the old cartoons. ..;

Yeah, I know, original...but it's the animation that they use to make the "direct to DVD" sequels to things... Disney is by far the worst offender of this.
Is that what this new Looney Toons is??

the best character of all time?
The rarely mentioned Speedy Gonzales (fogive me if this is spelled wrong...)
he made a complete idiot out of Daffy, Sylvester, and others (though it wasn't too hard :P )
