I have not been a fan of Enterprise, the latest Star Trek Series, at least until recently.
I have watched the last four episodes and really enjoyed them. Suddenly it seems that instead of rewriting Star Trek history they are embracing it.
The episode that was on last night is a direct tie to the Babel episode from TOS. An early, abortive attempt to ge tthe Andorians and Tellarites to mend fences. I really thought it was good.
If anyone has avoided this show to date, I recommend taking another look. It's definitely getting better.
Opinions?

I've not seen much of it, but I've heard about the upcoming episode about Klingon and their forehead explaination. I really want to see this one!

I watched Enterprise for the first two seasons, and then partially into the third. But the third season ruined my enjoyment of the show. I felt like I was watching re-runs of Voyager. Just substitute the Xindi with the Kazon, and Enterprise with Voyager. A lot of people seemed to like the third season, but I thought it was crap. So I stopped watching.
Maybe it's time I started watching again? Maybe there's hope for Enterprise, after all.

I didn't watch Enterprise during it's first season. I had heard bad things about it before it was even aired and lost interest. After a friend of mine telling me how cool it was, I started watching the first season when it was in reruns that summer. I didn't catch the whole first season, just a few of the first season episodes really, but I enjoyed what I saw and got hooked on the show.
I loved the original ST, and TNG, and DS9. I watched Voyager for three seasons... until they pulled it from TV and cable this region - those bastards!
Anyway, I've been enjoying Enterprise and look forward to watching it every week. I know there was a lot of talk before the show came out, about how it would not mesh with established ST time line events, but I don't know enough about the ST time line to really notice where things don't fit - even though I've seen EVERY episode of ST, TNG, AND DS9 - most of them multiple times!
I have noticed though, that Enterprise has been cheating a little in terms of story lines. A couple of weeks ago in the episode where (forgive my poor memory of non-regular character names) the man who pioneered transporter technology was looking to get back his son who was lost in a transporter accident - well, that reminds me an awful lot of the original ST episode where Kirk was almost lost in a transporter accident and he kept appearing in various places of the ship in his space suit.
And last week's episode where humans were being observed by an alien race that could inhabit humans - to see how advanced we are and how we dealt with a deadly disease and the possibility of it infecting others. This episode reminded me a lot of the TNG episode where a Federation observation outpost that was studying an alien race that was in it's pre-industrial age was discovered by the aliens when it's holographic disguise malfunctioned.
Those are just two examples - I've seen many other instances of previous ST series themes being used in Enterprise. Don't get me wrong - it does not detract from the entertainment value of the show for me, I'm just making note of some rehashed ST stories.
One thing I both love and hate about the show is their frequent use of multi-episode stories. I LOVE the fact that the stories are allowed the proper time to play all out and not just squished in to a single episode and rushed. I do enjoy story arcs that span across multiple episodes - it's more real to me like that. But the three words I hate most at the end of any show are "to be continued".
Last night (Friday night - when I watch Enterprise) they got me by surprise. I was so in to the show I didn't know what time it was. And then... "To be continued..." and all I could do was yell "nooooooooooo"! I was so in to the show! I didn't want it to end! Man - the Andorian/ugly race (forget their name)/Romulan story line was just incredible! I really enjoyed that and loved the complexity of the situation. Oddly enough, it even mirrors some of what is going on today in the world, but then again ST has always incorporated some of that in to their storylines. And at the end, when the camera pulled back to reveal where the Romulans were operating things from - that was very well done. They got me there! I LOVE the unexpected! I love the unexpected so much, I absolutely REFUSE to watch any trailers or commercials about upcoming shows that I follow. To me they just ruin it. I don't want to know ANYTHING about the show before I see it! I don't care who's guest starring in it, or what kind of events to expect - I want to experience it all fresh when I watch it.
Ok, I got a little off subject there, but I do hate how they sneak in promos and things that give away what's about to happing after the next commercial break or what is going to happen next week.
So I've been a fan of Enterprise since just before their second season. I recognize that some of the shows are not really strong shows, but I enjoy the

I've unfortunately missed a lot of episodes of Enterprise, but I really like the ones I've seen. The whole "pre-Kirk's Enterprise" setting was really a surprise, but I think it's a welcome one because now they get to flesh out all of the events that we've only heard about in passing in the other series.
I did see the episode with the inventor of the transporter. There was a vague similarity with that original series episode where Kirk fades in and out, but I think the similarity begins and ends with a person fading in and out. The story and situation were very different, so I didn't think they cheated much if at all.
In truth, I find the transporter to be an interesting device, plot and otherwise, and I like it when they explore its possibilities (e.g. the mirror universe and the NG episode where Barclay saves those people trapped in the transporter.)abortion pills online abortion questions cytotec abortion

Oh - absolutely! Exploring different possibilities in technologies that are based (at least in part) in science theoretical fact is a lot of fun! Every futuristic technology they have is another tree of almost infinite possibilities for exploring exciting stories and dramatic events.
It's great (to me anyway) to watch how people must deal with potential events and technologies of the future. Who knows what the future really holds. In terms of good sci-fi and an entertaining show, I think Enterprise is a very enjoyable show. I look forward to it every week.

Oh - whew!
It's not cancelled... yet, anyway:
http://www.trektoday.com/news/180105_02.shtml
I thought all ST shows were guaranteed a life span of seven seasons (build in to them via contract, etc.). Of course, I guess if the show fails in a big way - that could end things earlier. But I think this shows ratings are doing well. Perhaps not close to what TNG used to be at, but otherwise well... then again, that's just a guess. I have no idea how wall they're fairing in the ratings.
Oh well. If the keep the show on the air, I'll follow it through to the end.
If they yank it, I'll just have to watch... MORE TRON!

Woo hoo!
What a ride tonight's episode was!
I haven't been this excited watching a watch TV show since ST:TNG when the whole Romulan/Klingon thing was heating up! (season 5 if I recall)
Well, in tonight's episode there were some rushed things, but given the constraints of working within the limited time for a single episode (though it be part 2 of a continued episode) I can forgive rushed elements like that. I am sure, in fact, that these rushed elements established today can also take the stories to new and interesting complexities in the future... well, that is if the show wasn't doomed
Anyway, I LOVED today's Enterprise! I was waaaaaaay in to the whole thing, on the edge of my seat, supporting a big grin while I watched!
Ok, the very, very end I didn't care for. They took the "pilot's" helmet off to reveal...
SPOILER WARNING - DO NOT READ FURTHER THAN THIS POINT OR BE SPOILED AND SUFFER THE FUNNY SMELL THAT ACCOMPANIES SPOILED GOODS!
...
...
...
Ok, I didn't care for the pilot of the drone show being an Andorian. I like the complexities of it all to a certain point, but this was just pure soap opera to me and I just thought "blah" seeing that ending point.
Oh well. I didn't care for how they ended last season on a cliff hanger with that alien in charge of the Nazi's either, but I did enjoy the two part conclusion of that in the start of this season. Hopefully they won't go for too much of a soap opera like theme with the Andorian thing. I'm sure they can take this in a cool direction that I'm just not seeing yet.
Well... they might have if the show wasn't **sniff** joining the ranks of shows that were canceled too damn soon.
I know there were some weak episodes this season, but come on - they're picking it up quite nicely and there are so many things left they can do! Let Enterprise finish it's 7-year run!
Well, it UPN cancels the show - I'm history! There's be NOTHING left on UPN for me to watch - Enterprise is the only show I watch there, period. And I'm sure they don't want to loose my ONE HOUR every week now do they!
Oh well - if Enterprise disappears, I'll miss it. At least the last few shows were a great ride! Or at least I hope the last couple of them are as well!

Yeah - really!
I watch very little TV personally. Right now, Enterprise is my ONLY must-see show that I go out of my way NOT to miss every week. It is, in fact, the ONLY hour-long show I'll sit through on TV right now.
Point being - I dig the show a lot. It's very good entertainment, and getting better!
I'm guessing ratings just weren't strong enough for UPN to keep it going
DAMN UPN!
The show is definitely heating up and if they gave it just a little more time, I'm sure they'd have a strong show pulling in better ratings!
Blah!
Why does it ALL have to be based on ratings? I know - it's business and all about money, just like any other business.
But too many people just watch DUMB things! Hello "Reality TV"
Why are not enough people watching COOL and INTERESTING shows?
Oh well. Whatever. I guess I'm not cool and wouldn't know cool if it bit me in the ass.
I'll really miss Enterprise when it's gone

It definitely stinks that they're cancelling Enterprise.
However...
There are a bunch more episodes to go before the finale!
For instance, I just read about a two-parter slated to air in April that will take place entirely in the mirror universe!
That's all I'll say about it; if you want to know more go to the Star Trek website to check it out, but be aware you'll find some big spoilers there!order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

I don't want it to go!
It's out of our hands unfortunately.
Since they (the production crew) know it's history, I just hope they give it a really good finale. Series finale shows can be tricky, but I'm sure they can come up with a fitting end to the series. I'm going to really miss the crew and their adventures. Even with their recent slow episodes, I've been enjoying the series a lot.
It will be sad to see it go. I just hope the writers and crew pay good homage to the show and send it off with a great finale!
...
And then I hope they bring it right back next season!
...
I know - not gonna happen. Oh well.

Another fine installment of Enterprise
As I had hoped, this episode took last week's ending twist and went in a good direction with it. I wasn't disappointed at all with the premise, it was rather interesting - the Andorian telepathic sub-species.
I enjoyed this three-part story. It was exciting and well done
But I am bummed that it is all to end soon.
SPOILER ALTER - DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT YET SEEN THIS EPISODE
...
...
...
...
...
...
There were some good elements set in this three-part episode. The relationship between Archer and Shraan has been built up. Shraan is now without a ship... and without his love. Shraan's love was killed by the one of the... damn, forget their name, the "ugly species" as they were referred to two episodes ago, a species which has a new alliance with the Andorians. Many plots can be built from this point alone.
And Tripp is having trouble with his feelings for T'Pal. He's requested a transfer to the Columbia and Archer has, with disappointment and reserve, approved his transfer. This would normally be the set up for another sub-story arc for episodes to come. But with the end of Enterprise in sight, this may be the initial steps in the end of the show and perhaps the "going their separate ways" routine... if they intend on ending the show like that.
Man - they could have done so many cool things with this show. I know many Star Trek fans were not fans of this show because it supposedly contaminated the ST time line. But I've seen EVERY episode of ALL the ST shows (minus the last few seasons of Voyager) - many of which multiple times, and I don't see any real time line contamination. ALL shows spoil a little of their own time line in various ways - generally by having a character speak of their past, only to go in a different direction with the character AND their past in a later episode. Not sure how many "Trekkies" actually follow this show. I've always considered myself a big ST fan and have enjoyed the show very much.
Anyway, I am sad to see it go so soon. It would be nice for it to be picked up by another network, or go in to syndication... but I doubt that will happen.
Oh well.
If they HAVE to go, I'm just hoping for some GREAT final episodes.
Tonight's end to the three-part story was a good one. Part two had the most kick, but this was an interesting and enjoyable conclusion of this story-arc.

Yes, a good episode indeed.
The 'ugly race' is the Tellarites; they were in the original series, too.
I think your wish of some great final episodes is going to be granted, Todd. That mirror universe two-parter coming up that supposedly takes place entirely in the mirror universe is something I'm really looking forward to.
The real shame is that it looks like the combination of the last Star Trek movie bombing at the box office -- and rightly so because it totally stinks, the worst of the lot by far -- and the cancellation of Enterprise will mean a dearth of new Star Trek material (not counting books) for a while to come.
Oh well, I really enjoy the William Shatner Trek books. At least he seems to know what Trek fans like.

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Damn, damn, DAMN!
I'm really glad to hear you're digging Enterprise too, MutoidMan, but PLEASE warn me when you're going to post spoilers of any kind.
I go out of my way to NOT know anything (I mean NOTHING at all) about any upcoming episodes of shows I intend to watch. I even quickly change the channel when they advertise a show I watch on TV.
I don't care to know who's guest starring, or what it's about BEFORE I see it.
I just want to watch it unfold in real time, as I enjoy the show.
I get so pissed off at the advertisers of TV shows - they pretty much give you the whole damn show in a nutshell in most promo segments! There's often little to wonder about when watching the rest of the show.
I had to stop reading your post as soon as the words "upcoming two-part mirror universe" was mentioned (or something close to that).
I'm already tainted about the damn (spoiler alert for any of you spoiler free folks) upcoming Klingon episode where they "explain" the differences in their foreheads from original series to film & TNG series... or however they call it. I would have LOVED to be surprised by that, but it got spoiled when I read a post in another forum - didn't know what was coming until it was too late.
Anyway, I'm not surprised you dig Enterprise, MutoidMan - we seem to have very similar taste in good sci-fi I imagine you're sad to see it go also?
And thank you for reminding me about the "Tellarites". Now that you mention it, I do have a vague memory of them being in the original series. It's been a few years since I've cycled through the original series episodes. Were the Tellarites in the same episode as the Andorian with the fake antenna? It was an Andorian embassador if I recall, right? And they were at odds - the Andorians and Tellarites! Yes, it's all coming back to me! I can't believe they couldn't tell the Andorian's antenna were fake - I mean, they didn't move at all!
Well, spoilers or not, I'm really looking forward to the remaining episodes of Enterprise.
But PLEASE people - please post SPIOLER ALERT or something before you reveal anything about an upcoming episode Thanks!
