To be honest, I like Todd's implementation a bit better.

Yes... I find this to be an interesting game... I may try starting one up in the game grid (using Todd's modifacation) as a 'secondary trial run'? maybe?abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Well, what Corruption and I took part in was an experiment in a turn-based, ASCII, light cycle game. The question was "will it work?" The answer - sort of. The problem with the way we did it is that playing turn by turn (one player at a time) tends to put the person who goes second at a disadvantage because who goes 1st has the potential to make more moves (being one turn ahead). That's not to say the person who goes 2nd cannot win, but it seems that playing one turn at a time would not be as successful as playing a game where BOTH players input their moves (oblivious of the other player's move), and then only after BOTH players' moves have been entered - THEN the results are displayed. I think playing like that would result in a more interesting game experience.
Now our experiment doesn't have to be just an experiment. I enjoyed it and so did Corruption. I might recommend that if it be played again, to use a larger game grid and not start right at the edge of the grid (maybe a block or two in instead). That would allow for a game that laster longer than a few turns by offering more options to both players.
Still, I'd like to see a game feature added to TRON-Sector much like I spelled out a few posts ago in this thread. I think that would be GREAT fun for us all
If I knew how to program such a thing, I'd do it myself and offer it to Auric to add to The Sector... but I do not

I believe it was sugguestedthat there be a 'master post' and the players PM their moves to the person who made the 'master post' and then he/she updates the grid once he/she has recieved both player's PMs...
Which is how I think it may work sans something like flash. ------------

Yeah - BUT then both players would be at the mercy of the "master post" person to update the game. That's why it would be best for the game to be application driven - Flash or Shockwave (do they even still use Shockwave?) or java applet or whatever. However it's done, it should be able to know which TRON-Sector members are playing the game so multiple games can be taking place simultaneously. Heck - a stat board would be cool too... and the ability to look in on people's games-in-progress!
I'm probably just dreaming though.

A couple times during the game I thought it might be cool if the edges wrapped (ie go off right side end up on left). Not tron-correct but 80s game correct.

Ok - you mean Atari's "Surround", right?
Back in the early 80's, when there really was no home light cycle game to play (other than a small hand-held version), "Surround" was the closest thing there was (that was TV-based anyway).
Have you played it before?
It is a lot like light cycles, but not quite. For one, you could move diagonal. Second, you were a fairly large block, leaving a big, block-like trail (the block trail would touch horizontally, but not vertically). Third - you could indeed wrap across the screen - left & right, and top & bottom.
Sadly, the game had no AI. It was either play against a friend, or just use the "draw" feature to make very low-resolution digital etch-a-sketch like block-drawings.
But playing against friends was a blast. When playing against someone, it was never "Surround" to me, but instead I felt like I was on the game grid playing light cycles!
In ASCII, turn-based light cycles, I think playing with a larger grid and just keeping the starting points a grid block or two away from the edges should do ok. I would still LOVE to see a TRON-Sector applet or feature that allowed game play as I described earlier though

Actually I was thinking of asteroids
I never played the game you mentioned. Which console was it for? I had a 5200 my friend had a 2600.
