I just got off the game grid, and of course, I had a BLAST! 
Tonight I had the pleasure of competing with (throughout the time I was on) DJDEREZZ, th1rt3enm, Reaper-02 (who's trails really cut everyone down to size!), -I- Isaac [DR], Boomer, Layer, Saturn, Harpo989, NastyCruncher (who was playing a little "hangman" with his name tonight - he he), NeuroDancer, and Roadrashjd.exe
TRON-Sector count (including myself) would be 4 I believe.
As usual, there were a lot of jokes flying about. Tonight, the big funny was when Reaper-01 showed up (a player that really adds layers of skill to the game grid). We had Reaper-01 and Reaper-02 up there - BOTH highly skilled players and great fun to compete with!
To be silly, I changed my name to TheReelReaper, then Harpo989 became Reaper989, and then -I- Isaac [DR] became AssReaper... and I think there were a few other reaper name gags before it all normalized again - was very funny 
Well, I can't say I played too well tonight, but I sure had a GREAT time!
I hope to see you on the game grid next time!

Instead of coming right out and saying this or that, I like to play with words a little bit, so hopefully the LC regulars will get a smile out of it, and maybe those who have not ventured on to the game grid, become curious enough to want to check out the light cycle festivities 
BTW - love your avatar! That's great!
I spent a few minutes checking out the new and improved PathGoneBad.com today - all I can say is WOW! I tip my TRON helmet to the talented folks who brought that site to a very beautiful new beginning! Excellent, excellent work!
But I hope the PGB folks don't abandon us here at TRON-Sector

Well FYI Todd, The avatar is actually a bunch of screenshots of the Actual scene in Speedzone_Redux (yes there are sounds lol )
It's a hidden easteregg.

Raven - I knew your avatar was made of screencaps, but I thought you animated them like that as a gag. So... there's an actual scene hidden in  with that in it? I'll have to look for that! I'm VERY curious as to what it sounds like indeed!

Okay its in my custom map. mind you..
If you all would like to witness the full animations and sounds.. load up speedzone_redux from the spectate point go immediately down, ontop of the crossbars, walk back and forth on the + ( junction) If all goes well, spectate 2-3 positions and you'll see it. It last for 30 seconds before disappearing again.
BTW dave, did u take a look at the ctf map? eh? maybe you can sneak me the ltc of the lc203 map.. would be a nice candidate.
If you cant seem to trigger it, i can set server up one night and show you all. Also note you can only do it from the original spectate point, you cannot race a race then try to view it.

I had a wonderful time tonight on the Game Grid! After doing a little one-on-one with a program... can't remember the name (I'm terrible that way), I zipped over to a Derez server (the only one with a 1+ population. There I met Aitrus, a fellow Myst fan. I immediately changed my name to Gehn.dll and we taunted each other with Myst trivia for the next half hour! It was hilarious! (At least to the two of us... probably no-one else understood what we were talking about... ) Eventually Aitrus mentioned "Gee, it's too bad you can't play LightCycles online..." We very quickly corrected him of this notion, and then all five of us switched over to DayenTech and showed him how to LightCycle! It was great! I, of course, offered all the advice I could while ramming him into my trails. He finally got fed up with some lag issues and rezzed out, but not before we had an awesome time!
Teaching newbies is fun! Give it a try sometime! Just remember the days when you were where they are now... Good times.

Bravepants, I perfer Suspects, but I also use Dayentech default because a lot of people race there. (not real sure why...)
sorry I haven't been on as much, but as I've explained to some, I've been held hostage by Knights of the Old Republic lately... I plan on getting back into action soon, though.

Day before yesterday I played the PC version of Spider-Man 2: The Game instead of playing . Alert to my fellow Tron-Sector programs, wraiths, and Users: DO NOT buy this game. From the reviews I've read, the PS2 and XBox versions are awsome, but the PC version was developed by a completely different company, and they did NOT get the job done. I'm going to go back to Fry's later on and see if I can get the PC version swapped for the PS2 version. Maybe pick up Uru: Complete Chronicles while I'm there...

i had a great time again tonite...plyed mostly on suspect's server....got to race user program..boomer...crackho..x-copy...and guess who else? layer...that's right ladies and gents...we got another comp and now we plyng at the same time..of course loved giving everyone a hard time..esp crackho...but u know we love ya man hope to see u on the grid soon

** relieved ** Ahhhhhh - that felt SOOOOO good!
I missed the game grid this past week!
Tonight, I enjoyed competing with: null unit (who actually played under several names tonight depending on his performance), TheGiftedOne, Raven, [guide x], Boomer, Cyber_Slave and -I- Isaac [DR] joined JUST before I was going to leave - didn't even get a full game in with him
And there was also one more cyclist in there, someone we all know and love, but I have never had the pleasure to meet on the game grid, until tonight...
Tonight, I had the honor of meeting up with TRON-Sector's own Sketch, who plays as Sketch.bmp on the game grid, and rides a Super Light Cycle. It was cool seeing you on the game grid, Sketch! Though you appeared to be a little rusty tonight, it was great fun! You really should joins us more often! I know - it's hard when you're busy though.
Tonight's high-point (during my time on) or silly point if you will, was the Super Light Cycle Syndrome! For the heck of it, I tried on a SLC for a while. Next game, EVERYONE was playing on SLC's! 
Funny thing - I actually played pretty well on mine, giving Raven (a master LC player) a run for his money a couple of times as we both rode our SLC's. Of course, Raven toasted me several times throughout the course of the evening - he's good at that
It was a fun ride, on my SLC, but my FAVORITE weapon of choice will always be the good and COOLER than anything regular Light Cycle of the original  film. Yep, NOTHING like a good old, original Light Cycle for me!
I wish I could have stayed longer tonight. Things were really heating up when I had to leave

It was great to see you on the Grid Todd, as well as other members too. I had lots of fun, even though I seemed to be magnetically attracted to every wall and jetwall on the grid. If any members see a blue splat somewhere on the grid, that's cause of me. I blame my connection cause Cycles is all about timing, and with a slow connection, lag destroys that. 
I changed to the old school lightcycle later on in the game. I do like using them better, but the Super Cycle (being designed by Syd Mead) is still a great addition to the Lightcycles and are still fun to use next to the old Cycles.
After you left Todd I played against some other members, Layer and Finder. Sorry guys if I seemed to disappear. My connection died and caused 2.0 to shut down. Hate when that happens.
Does anyone here play Derez tournaments??? I've really been enjoying those. I think I've gotten hooked. Tonight was the 2nd time I had ever played one and had a blast! I played some really good rounds tonight with some folks. I noticed when it's just 2 players it's very challenging cause you have to hunt one another down where as with 6 or more players they run into you quickly. I seem to do better at Derez than I do at mutliplayer Lightcycles. Hmm, this thread seems to have slowed down lately. No posts in almost a week! Shame, shame! [wags finger]
I've been distracted by the excellent game Uru: ThePath of the Shell. Absolutely immersive. So I've been off the Grid for a few days.
Dropped back on to get some LightCycle action (scuzzy wireless mouse glitching up is keeping me out of Derez and Disc Tournaments) and had a great time, as usual. Trai[LC]utter was on tonight, as well as a few others, and after wiping the Grid with us all, when everyone left he stayed and gave me a bit of personal schooling. Was fun, even if I did get rocked.

Yeah - that IS a shame!
I've been VERY busy with stuff lately. Unfortunately, there are only so many hours in a day, and some things have to fall aside, while other things are attended to.
I was really hoping that other people would continue to post here regularly - whenever they're about to hit the game grid, and/or about their experiences on the game grid.
Bummer.
Oh well. I've been off the game grid for pretty much the entire week myself. I'm RUSTY as rusty can be!

twas sooo glad to catch a few of the guys i haven't raced with in a while....was great seeing u again todd I also got to race with isaac..nice to see u again too man...trail cutter..corruption..missing u too....djderezz...thirteen.and probably a few others i forgot to mention...hope to see all of u again soon...and like todd...been away from the grid lately..so i haven't been racing..r posting a lot lately...pleasure as always todd cya soon
