Greg Goodwin from Dallas, TX -USA here.
I would like to see a sequel to TRON. I feel the TRON 2.0 video game did a good job.. a great job. I would at least like to see the game world, but redo the live scenes. I like that Wizard of Oz color contrasting light, or TRON the contrast of real world verses computer world.
Would also like more allusions to what happened to characters in the first movie, such as TRON, Flynn, Yori, Dumont, Bit, and maybe if Flynn managed program restores of Clu and Ram. 
TRON has inspired then and now, and unlike last time TRON was released, I think this time there is a established fan base that would flock to see this new TRON movie.

2) It will make you loads of money
3) Everyone else is doing sequels why not you.
4) I believe that with todays technology when can make the TRON univers even more beautiful. I know That tjhe same techniques used to make TRON will never be used again, but you can still make a good movie without live-action people in the computer world.

Is that the Tron Sequel that involved nanotech allowing a bad program to come out of the computer and use a nanotech modelling system to generate itself?
I thought it was a little too much like Virtuosity... But the script seems to have disappeared from the internet.

That was NEVER the story line for TRON 2.0.
I have read most of the treatments except for the last two teams hired. Neither of which have been available publicly.
Unless it was fan fiction, it wasn't anything official.

Thanks Davetron, that makes me feel a lot better, because I didn't really like the script I found that much... It wasn't all bad, but it just didn't seem faithful to the original.
It might have been fanfic, although it purported itself to be a leaked script.
As a Fanfic it was probably OK, so if you've seen the real planned script, and the nanotech stuff doesn't make sense, you're probably right.

I will say that there was an Icarus themed story idea that Steven told me about over lunch once, but it was never written to my knowledge, and it did not involve nanotech.

I would love  to see another  movie. It was so original in its time. I beleive I heard it was the first movie ever to use CG  As a kid I would watch the movie over and over again. A friend of mine acutually wore ought his VHS copy because he watched it so many times. My only question would be when in the timeline would the movie sequel take place Would they take into account the story from the game and the comic and pick up after that or would they ignore those and write a new storyline?

Common issue in TRON Fandom. 3 months after the movie is gone, this site will simmer back down to a core of regulars and most of the new crowd will move on or stop by occasionally. It's how things go in TRON.
