Ok, how's about this thread be the one where ideas for things to Patch the game be inserted for the developers to read?
Hey Moderator, could this become a Sticky thread so it can be easily accessed? Please ?
So anyway, I haven't encountered any bugs with the game. The only real ideas I have for the patch so far are
1. Reenable the Console.
2. Please modify Jet a bit so that he can take a fall better without derezzing. Yes some heights should be lethal, but as of now it's almost ridiculous. BUt that's just me.

Good ideas. Mine would be to fix the uneven framerate. Ever notice how the game chugs in certain spots? Even areas that don't have many models...

Perhaps, fix the third p.o.v? The Jet model looks awfully statue-like in that... ^^; Sometimes, I play from third pov for the fun of it.

I agree with the Falling Damage thing, 100%.
I'd also like to see:
* A "Radar" map in Light Cycle arena. Sometimes it's really hard to find your opponant on a large Game Grid.
* 3rd Person perspective toggle? It looks like a ton of work was done to make Jet look and move well, and I'd like to see the model more than just in cut scenes. Plus, I'd like to see if I'm coming close on some of the jumping puzzles- there have been times that I was SURE I was landing on a platform, when instead I missed by a country mile... =(
* Slightly longer block duration. Is it just me, or is the disc block almost ridiculous? I never seem to be able to get the timing right, and get hit often when I was sure that I was blocking. Ideally, I should be able to block for as lonf as I hold the "Block" button, in an arc directly in front of me. Attacks from the sides and rear should not, of course, be able to be blocked. maybe this can be a toggleable feature, so that people running multiplayer servers have the option of running Disc Arena with either "Classic" blocking or "Enhanced" (what I'm suggesting) blocking? This would make the game less of a "twitch" fest, as it is now (both Discs and Cycles matches rely heavily on reflexes ofer strategy I think, which makes the game frustrating for players that rely on brains over nerve-endings).
* Add in the original "Tron" game code as an easter egg (like id did with Return to Castle Wolfenstein for the Xbox). Maybe make it so that after you beat the game, you can play the original arcade game somewhere, like say a replica of the cabinet, or in the game world somewhere on an activatable monitor. That would add SUCH a great feeling for all us old-skoolers.

Ahheeh... the original game would be nice, but that was like, asked a while ago... they had commented about it being too difficult to replicate and would need to bug Bally/Midway too?
I don't know for sure, but that was what I last heard of that.

The ability to turn on third-person camera following without -locking- the camera in light cycle racing. (i.e. I unlock the camera, move it to the side and look in a certain direction. Then I decide to turn my light cycle. The camera then snaps back into position behind me, but is still unlocked.)
I disagree on the longer block. Simply don't block until the disc is in the air, and you'll do fine. The reason why multiplayer is such a click fest is because of the LAG. You can't TELL the disc is in the air till it's too late.
Fix the !&*(@# !&@*(#@ flaw in the !&*($ !#@&*(&(*!@ engine that causes these sound problems. It's a problem that's been around for YEARS. Come on. How hard can it be?
REENABLE THE CONSOLE! Who's the $#@(* &$#@&*( who disabled it in the first place? Users want OPTIONS. Not restrictions! An FPS in THIS day and age WITHOUT a console? What in the world were they THINKING?! Were they at all?

Not necessary but would be nice:
Either lengthen the disc block a bit, or slow down the ICPs discs a little. Especially toward the later fCon levels.
I mean, the fCon ICPs would a toss a disc and almost instantly it would reach me . . . you have literally the tiniest fraction of a second to block it. And then when they gang up on you, it's impossible to block every disc. There's no way to survive that, and you have to run for it. And here I thought, Jet was a User?
Also, something I know that would never be implemented (difficult and disorienting), but still kind of cool . . . if when someone throws a disc from the side or behind, and you block at the right moment, you spin around to block the shot.
Or, how about at least letting you block some more projectiles with your disc. Like the forms of ball primitive, for example.
I'm currently working on a bigger bug/wish list.

Er... there's a bug in the sound engine? I only recall my fiance mentioning this...?

bug in multiplayer I've noticed since the patch is your your opponents disk seems to be in 2 places at once like Im seeing that when I deflect a disk (away from the player) he is still holding and throwing his disk while the other is ricocheting around the arena. Also the latest patch seems to have the servers "predicting" where the disk will be and the affect is your deressed before the guy has thrown his disk. i totally agree with the lightcycle radar. I find when playing the demo i've no idea where they are coming from, unless i press the ";" key to turn the camera, which is a further problem because your in danger of crashing.
But then again, would having a radar not make it easier......hmmmmmm
Also, can someone tell me whether theres bot support for the deathmatch games in the real game? (like, if you'd rather face bots instead of going on the net and getting constant lag death). Thank you.

Longer disk blocks will make every lamer just block and not throw their disk just to hit you with the power block. (wait, they do that anyways..) So my suggestion is to take power block out of multiplayer before it gets out of hand. If you block someones disk you already have an advantage because they can't throw it for an extended amount of time.
Putting the TRON arcade into the game would probably require some sort of licensing from Bally/Midway. Maybe they could get away with it, are Bally/Midway still making games?
I haven't had any sound problems are your guys sound cards directX 9 compatible?
I'm torn on the console, while its a good thing for the remote server admin, its also good for people that cheat and find cheats/hacks/exploits.
Instead of filtering spectator disk servers how about making a player invincible when they "holster" their disk. So the knuckle heads trying to kill you while you are watching a match can't.

NOOOOOOOOOO! It's PERFECT the way it is right now (except with the 'improved' netcode both showing me as blocking the disc and getting derezzed by it at the same time) Block is unreliable in multiplayer as it is right now. There's no reason to remove it or change it.

I dunno, is an SB Audigy DX9 compatible? After six rounds with tech support, they haven't said it isn't, so I'm assuming it is.

So you fix the security flaws. You're not supposed to remove functionality simply because you're too lazy to fix a possible way of cheating or two.

A Datawraith player model would be nice, as well as maybe an Alan/Tron model.
How about some maps where we can get up close & personal with the melee disc? Maybe either in a big open space or maybe a labyrinth-style map with opaque, static walls. More multiplayer maps in general would be nice.
Some variation of Capture the Flag.
Maybe some deathmatch modes that take advantage of the other weapons, like maybe a rail arena-style mode using the LOL.
I agree with seeing if there's some way to incluse the original TRON arcade games in the game somewhere. I mean, you guys already modeled the cabinets, how hard could it be to get the rights? If nothing else, why not give us SPACE PARANOIDS (it would look quite badass with the LithTech engine).

Another thing! A way to callvote on the dedicated server, I just ran into a player calling himself "Son of Core Dump" who decided to join a team then go AFK for god knows how long.

As someone with a spotty internet connection I would love to see Bots for the multi-player arenas added.
I don't know much about the programming that goes into that sort of thing, but it doesn't seem like that difficult of a change either, particularly considering the training level with the ICP attacking you and that I've seen the bad guys in single player leaping over pits and stuff (so they could probably leap across the rings and holes etc)
I know that being able to enjoy the very Tron-like game matches would add a whole new level of enjoyment to the game for me.
