I think Spectator Discs in MP is an AWESOME idea that has a significant impact on how much fun poeple have when they play MP. Games where you have to sit out for some time should make it a *priority* to give players something fun to do while they wait (throw around your discs, shoot at moving targets, watch other matches, etc). I cannot stress how important I believe this is (and I data for a usability study to support it).

However, it is annoying when you get derezzed while watching a match. I recommend the following solution:
Consider adding a disc-blocking barrier behind the windows in the areans. This way players who want to watch the matches cannot get hit while inside of the barrier. Visually it could appear as a translucent wall or a glowing outline on the floor, walls, and ceiling. Obviously discs should not be able to be thrown while inside the barrier.

Another thing, just ran into a weird exploit where one player was using the Mesh & Prankster Bit in multiplayer.

I don't know much about the programming that goes into that sort of thing, but it doesn't seem like that difficult of a change either, particularly considering the training level with the ICP attacking you and that I've seen the bad guys in single player leaping over pits and stuff (so they could probably leap across the rings and holes etc)
I know that being able to enjoy the very Tron-like game matches would add a whole new level of enjoyment to the game for me.

Yes. Or some simple single player levels with nothing but ICPs. After finishing the game all I want to do is run around with a disc, derezzing anything. Playing the normal levels is too centered around the storyline to be that much fun.

Also, if one goes to the team select screen while your match is loading, sometimes you get stuck in the lobby, even if you're supposed to be in the match.

The .REZ utilities released for "No One Lives Forever 2" would probably work to unrez the .REZ files used in Tron 2.0. As far as I know the format wasn't changed.

The dedicated server should have some sort of logging set up so in the future we could generate stats out of it. Also, a way to ban players by their CD key could be usefull.

FPS style, but it's broken. No animations for Jet in 3rd-person. Use the "mpasscam" cheat.

Introduce ".dll" modules that bundle similar subroutines (example: armor, primitive enhancers).

Benifits: allows multiple subroutines to take up less ram.

Drawbacks: If a .dll is infected, all bundled routines are degraded. Cleaning a .dll must be done at one shot. interrupting it( by swapping out) can cause damage to the bundled subroutines.

Game play - I only needed tro defrag memory at the very beginning of the game and after battle with the end bosses. Entering a new system (especially a PC or PDA) should have had fragmented memory.

The System ICP armor effect was a wowzer. It would have been nifty to see and acquire that subroutine.

The "melee disc" thing made me think...

How about a "sword and sheild" weapon that would only be usable in hand-to-hand fighting?

Benefits: Sheild gives you great protection from front/side attacks. "Sword" has devastating power.

Drawbacks: No ranged attack. Activating weapon reduces speed 20% (encourages "stealth" play and setting up ambushes, though...)

To enhance the "stealth" aspect, maybe standing still with the sheild for several seconds activates a sort of "cloak" that dims you? (shrug).

Well, *I* think it would be cool.

And I have to agree with the first comment about FALLING DAMAGE. If Jet falls like, 10 feet he dies. I can see putting "kill zones" at the bottom of trenches and such, but death by falling off a crate stacked three high? Pfffff!order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

I totally agree with the falling damage thing...if anything, it should be far more forgiving than other games, seeing as how everything is virtual...in theory, a program should be able to fall from huge distances with no ill effects, not die from falling 10 feet.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

This is something I whole-heartedly agree on.

I had jumping pings playing just now, and I would be nice to have the same MP with bots offline.

It would be cool to be able to choose how many bots are in each team (and what level too, just like UT tournament's MP mode, there's just more options available), to be on a team of bots in addition, and I think it would be funny to see bots hanging around like the freight scene, where you can talk to them between matcheas and hear a quick phase like in the SP game.

One update, my friend just said he'd play MP if there was a plain deathmatch mode. I concur!!!

That's another on my wish list!!!

Hi, been trolling a bit, first time posting. I agree with a lot of the suggestions and would like to add/support a couple more. Before I get into this (and rereading), I want to also say that I think this is, perhaps, the most innovative 1st person shooter I have played. It's certiainly has the most amazing graphics and sound I have ever heard, single and multiplayer. Multiplayer is shaping up great. I know this was mainly supposed to be a single-player game, but the MP side of it is incredible too so hopefully some issues will get addressed soon.

1. Gotta fix the cheating. I have been in enough games where people are using prankster bit and drunken dims. Not just in the breaks between matches, but during the actual game play. Yes, I'm patched to the latest version. I dunno how they are doing it or why. It's death to any multi-player game though, unpoliced cheating. Should be highest priority.

2. I would love it if the nimrod's who are tagging me in the back while I'm watching my team finish the match were forced to stop. I totally agree that if those guys wanna duel it out, then they should be able to. Moving targets? Sounds great. Just leave me out of it. Put me in a room, or make it so I can make myself invulnurable to this nonsense when I'm watching my team.

3. Friendly Fire off seems to be the norm lately in most of the games I've played, but the opportunity for team blocking can just get ridiculous. For those of you who don't know what I mean, I'll explain. I can sit there and just mash my block key while targeting an opposing player and all my teammate has to do is throw his disk at me and I'll power block it. I'll take no damage if we miss, of course, since FF is off, even if he hits me cause my block was off-time. When I eventually power block it, I'll anhilate whoever I was aiming for without fail. With a little practice it can become a deadly (and kind of cheap) tactic. It works fantastic on the level with the blue and red rectangle level where the floor derezzes red.

4. Please let us kick AFK players. Please enable voting to the server to dispense with griefers. If someone hasn't moved for 5 minutes, give him the boot. We had a server today where Green team (1 of 4) was wrecked the entire time cause three people on it were afk. For like, an hour. It was a joke for any new people that logged on the server.

5. Light Cycle Camera. Someone said it better than I will already, but to second it I'll rehash. When you are in "fixed 3rd person mode," you can only move the camera up and down. How about letting us move it side to side as well, just like "free 3rd person mode," but when we change directions, the camera does as well. As it stands, "free" camera modes are like playing two games at once: not crashing, and being a makeshift director for your game. I would probably play in first person more if the "free" moving camera shifted 90 degrees along with the bike when I turned.

Again, this game is incredible. I have never (and doubt I will anytime soon) played anything like it. What amazes me is that so many people playing it are only moderate fans of the movie. I, like most of the people on this board, have my shrine to Tron, so I was buying it no matter what. My point is that this game so wonderful that it has become (and I think will become) accessible to everyone, especially once some of these issues are fixed. And not just for fanboys like me.

How about...

NON-SUICIDAL Lightcycles!

They tend to from time to time start pointing directly at a wall(the opposite way they should be)... that is RIGHT behind.... err... INFRONT of you... the instant the game starts 9 out of 10 times you hit the wall.. that one time you can get out of it if quick enough. Its not a map bug, but a game bug because that spawn point works normally most of the time.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

I think I've discovered another bug, that no one has mentioned yet. I'm still using the unpatched version of the game, because I don't want to take a chance introducing the new bugs from the patch. I would post this on the official message board, but the bloody site won't let me get past updating my profile. And I don't want to register under a different name.

When you enter a new system, the game asks you to reconfigure your subroutines in the System Memory screen. I've noticed that not all the subroutines you've collected prior, show up in your inventory at this point.

It isn't until a while later, that the missing subroutines magically re-appear in your inventory.

Go back and double-check it. That may be because you forgot to click the little arrows that scroll through your subroutines.

I did that. Most of the Combat subroutines were present, but ALL the Defense and Utility subroutines had vanished. No amount of clicking on the arrows would change it.

Then later, everything would come back again.

Hi redrain:

Does this happen every time you start a new level? If it only happens on certain levels, could you tell me which ones? Also, if you could send me your saved games (look in your messages for the address), that would be awesome. Thanks.
