While I vehemently despise Star Trek(Its the obsessed Star Wars fan in me)...Im definitely a lover of Dr. Who. In fact, I just picked up Planet of the Daleks last week.

Although I think ssh speaks for itself, here is the story: ssh is the program used to log in remotely on other systems.

It is one of my most favorite programs because it will allow me to keep remote systems up to date (and save me the travel)



And it's a bit like me too, I'm always looking around on the internet, "connecting" to other systems.

Hello everyone,

With regard to my TRON moniker / alias, it really is rather an uneventful name ... just a combination of my last name, "Watts", and the name of my favorite electronic / industrial / electronic body music (EBM) group out of Brussels, Belguim by the name of FRONT 242 (check out their music if you get a chance ... go with the mid 1980's to early 1990's albums for their best stuff). And, upon further searching, I noticed that my birthday is the 242nd day of the year, so I thought that was an interesting coincidence.

Saw TRON when I was a kid and wasn't really drawn into the acting per se, but went to see the film more for the light cycle computer animation, and subsequently, I was blown away by it. Went out an purchased a red Lightcycle with the zip cord and I think the glow in the dark figure that came with it or was available separately. Needless to say that in the intervening years, both have gone missing (probably to that place where missing socks go ... I've got a feeling that there is probably a whole other dimension which is chock-full of all sorts of missing items that people have misplaced. There has got to be an ocean of missing car keys, jewelry, ballpoint pen caps, used Q-tips, pills that have fallen down the bathroom sink, action figure accessories that are too tiny to keep track of, and probably mountainous stacks of old love letters, etc.).

I think that the coolest image from the movie for me has to be the design concept of the tanks ... was just blown away by the exterior sleekness of it as well as the U-boat style interior. I've been wanting to fabricate a three dimensional mock up model of the tank on a scale of approximately two feet in length either using wood or some type of heavy duty plastic. Something that will have a real heaviness and solid structure to it. Probably wind up using some type of glow in the dark paint and a black light to really pull out the details of the tank. Any suggestions as to what type of materials to possibly use would be greatly appreciated as I am not really power tool inclined at all. However, I make up for this by being extremely attentive to detail, so this hopefully will compensate for my lack of "tool time" knowledge.

Well way back in 'the day' me and a friend came up with the word "squiff" as a joke. Several years later I was playing on a BBS (wow...now I feel old) and had to create a handle. I had just finished watching Spaceballs and thought of Lonestar from the movie and viola.

As for being in character I made a post over on the new member forums as to why my character is called it.

Mine's pretty lame. Bashamo was the Japanese name for a Pokemon. I signed up for a website with it a looooong time ago, and it's just sort of stuck. It's normally not taken, so it's what I use.

Mine is actually from a character I've had since college. I had originally wrote him in as a megaman fic, but kept the name around for my more technologicly bent characters(I recycle names alot). Besides, its good to have something that sounds like a halfway plausible name to use on the net.
