Hi. I'm something of a Tron buff myself, so it seemed only natural that I'd make a Tron related story Arc in my comic, Overcaffeinated. You might want to take a look. I used a process similar to the original one they used in the movie to make the glowing parts of the suits. Here are the links to the Tron strips (three so far):
Strip 1 -
http://www.overcaffeinated.net/cgi-bin/autokeenlite.cgi?date=20030527
Strip 2 -
http://www.overcaffeinated.net/cgi-bin/autokeenlite.cgi?date=20030604
Strip 3 -
http://www.overcaffeinated.net/cgi-bin/autokeenlite.cgi?date=20030611
I completely geeked out on the third one. There will be at least another Tron comic in this story arc, and it will probably feature Lightcycles! yay!
Any comments, criticism and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

HAHAHHAHAA. Those strips are just great!
I used the same process myself with my own special 20th anniversary comic strip for my c64 comic... (although, I nearly ruined my black ink pen with it.)
I can't wait to see more. Kia: Cool. I'm a infamous mythological perfect User.

Thanks a lot for the comments!
In case you're interested, the costume making process goes like this:
I make the drawing of the character in full costume including circuit patterns and ink it. After scanning it, I duplicate the layer that has the drawing, and make a negative image of that. That leaves everything black and the drawing in white outline. I then paint black over all the non-glowy parts (face, hands, etc.) Then, I color the white stuff, blur it slightly and put it over the original scanned image, setting the "glow" layer to "screen". Then it's just a matter of "coloring" the original in grayscale. If anyone's interested in reproducing this effect I'd be glad to make a tutorial of it.
I recently watched the 20th Anniversary DVD and it made me giddy as a schoolgirl, so I just knew I had to do this stuff.
KiaPurity: My first computer was a C64! Great site! I'll be sure to check out your comic with more time later!
and Greetings, Programs!

Rincewind thought about this and then, with an air of finality, started to take off his last sock.

Just announcing that the newest installment in this series is now in place, at the following location:

As promised, it has LightCycles! If you check out my rant belonging to the comic you'll also find the links to two amazing Open Source Tron Light Cycle games (I got the images for the comic by taking screenshots from me playing one of them).

I also never would have thought that I'd see GLTron in a comic strip of all things. awesome.
