I remember back in the old days I would use AIM instant messaging a lot.
But it then started to use myspace and facebook.
But I find it's easier to stay in touch with people via texting and cell phone.
What do you think? I still use facebook and...
But for some reason I want to try chatting online again...
What do you think are some of the best Chat Programs out there?

I have AIM, MSN, and Facebook.

Trillian is pretty nice. In addition to text, you can also take and send screen captures. It can also synchronize with your AIM, and Skype accounts so you can have all of your contacts in one place.

cool Trillian sounds pretty good also....
doe they have it for Linux ?
I use this one program called Empathy...
on Linux.. is has most of the major IM clients..
liek AIM.. Yahoo.. google talk etc...
all in one place...
and it's pretty interesting..

Unfortunately, it appears that there is not a Linux version. However, there is a web browser based version that you should be able to use:

I use GAIM-now-Pidgin. Which doesn't always work with both AIM/Yahoo!, depending on whether Yahoo's being pissy about it. But I gotta dump the Yahoo acc't anyway and get something else to act in its stead; not doing their "we're gonna read your email so we can send you annoying ads" bullshit. Not big on Facebook chat, though.
I admit it: I prefer IM over phone. Mostly because I'm a multi-tasker. I can be chatting with someone via IM and checking my email at the same time, and I can pay attention to them AND not have them get offended. It's like splitting my brain function, I suppose, the way you can set your computer to projects on the downtime between your commands. On the phone you have to pay more attention because it takes longer for someone to say something than for me to read it on the screen (or possibly longer for me to say something than to *type* my reply, but I've never timed the two to compare), you can't revise, you have to fill in every little second so there are no awkward pauses even if you don't really have something to say, etc. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online
