Ok... So I have a Dell E20, and I want to get a better graphics card than the GeForce 8600GT.
Now I found this card and some reviewers claim that it runs on a 300 Watt psu. My PC psu is 305watt max.

I'm no PC expert and need to know if I can safely run this card on my E520. I have $80 only for a new graphics card and I can't afford to also get a new psu for my E520... Any info or advice will be appreciated.

I would advise upgrading to a better power supply. That was the first thing I did when I recently purchased a brand new HP system. If you add anything... hard drive, graphics card, etc. then the 300 Watt PS would be questionable at best. I would look into at least a 500 watt unti. I personally use Antec power supplies and have never had a problem with them.

Hm maybe I should get a Radeon? Like this one? I dont have the funds to buy a new psu...

The 6670 is a great card. I do not knwo the power requirements of that model, but my ASUS version that I purchased from NewEgg... it just rocks. Old Republic looks great and super smooth on high resolution. I do not think that you would be disappointed with it.
New upgrades are fun, eh?

If there is a Micro Center store in your area, I'd highly recommend checking them out. I've purchased all of my PC parts from them and have been very pleased with the service and pricing.
For reference, I built a PC from scratch using a total of $500 of parts from them. It can play Battlefield 3 smoothly at the high settings preset.

The detailed specs tab of this card says it requires a minimum of a 400 watt power supply. You might need a card that consumes/needs less power.
As I understand it, PSU power gets eaten up by other things in your PC, too, like your hard drive and CPU, etc. So you probably don't want a card that uses too much more power than your current one, as 300/305 watts isn't much to share amongst your stuff, unfortunately.
Also, your PC looks to have PCI Express x16, whereas the card you linked to is PCI Express 2.1 x16. I read that 2.1 is backwards compatible okay, but the performance you get may not be as good as you expect.
Have you thought of increasing your RAM instead of graphics card? Sometimes that can bring nice speed improvement to hold you off from an upgrade for a while. Looks like you have four total RAM slots available to work with. Have you already maxed them out? I think sometimes a motherboard BiOS flash can even increase the amount of RAM memory it can support, if the manufacturer has such a BIOS update available for your motherboard; unless I'm confusing this with hard drives. (I've upped the hard drives my mobo can support by flashing the BIOS before. Can't remember offhand now if RAM can work similarly.)

I'd try using a PSU calculator to get a rough idea how much of your PSU's power your computer uses. Then you'd know how much power you have left to play with. I think any kind of PCIe X16 would be better than what you currently have. Here's a link to Thermaltake's power supply calculator or just google psu calculator.

When I built my pc I focused on getting a motherboard that could handle 3 PCIe X16 video cards. That way I could add in more cards as time went on, since I use more video intensive programs than cpu. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to put in a power supply larger than 700 watt.
