And do you need a server computer to play with you guys, because I have one!!

"The killer app" mod is an upgrade mod that independent fans made. It essentially adds extra features into the game (like support for widescreen monitors, updates, etc..). I'm not sure about the server requirement but I think anybody can host games so you don't need an independent central server (unlike World of Warcraft where the company runs servers for people to log onto).

Oh the server I have is not independent, its just a computer I have that is made to be one.
How do you go about being the game server? So is ebay the best place to get the 2.0 game?
And if it is like a regular story mode game, are the multiplayer games separate from it?

I have to download all the patches..
and get the Killer App Mod...
after that I can play!!
And yes for me.. it will be a weekly thing
once i get up and running!

I didn't see anyone from Tron-Sector playing this past weekend. (That I noticed.) But there were people playing, and I've always seen a few players the last few weeks.

You guys can set up servers if you want, but I run servers every weekend anyway.
Amazon is the best place to get the game. But Ebay is another source.

It should be added that you only need the 1.42 unofficial patch. That patch fixes a few bugs that the official 1.41 patch did not, and allows for more custom map files.

Well, I'm in Canada too and I've bought some stuff from Amazon lately because the exchange rate has been favorable. The shipping is usually up to $12 if you go for the slowest, cheapest kind which takes up to 2 weeks. But I've always gotten my stuff much quicker than that. Amazon also makes you pay a deposit of up to $7 when it crosses the border through customs, but they will refund it later.
You'll want to buy the game used, because new copies are too expensive. A used copy in good condition starts at around $8 at this moment. So $8 + $12 + $7 = $27 is the most you'll have to pay up front. You'll get the $7 back about a month later, and the shipping may not be as high as $12. So in the end it'll be $20 or less.
If you can find a seller on Ebay who will beat that price, then go for it. But I don't think anyone will.

Any language version of the game from any country will install on North American PCs, yes.
With the exchange rate between the UK and Canada (plus shipping), that will end up costing the same as from Amazon, though.

OK I got the Patch and Killer app installs..
works fine..
I just think choose the wrong screen resolution...
when I started the app..
Is there a way I can change the resolution??
or do I have to reinstall...
I wasn't sure what kind of monitor I had..
it's widescreen..
but it adjusts automatically..
like in the regular TRON 2.0 it would just make it
fit to my screen perfect.
and now there are black edges on the sides...
Just need to get the maps installed then I
am ready to rock!
But the KIller App is awesome!
Brings new life to an old games...
plus with God mode.. I might actually be able to beat the game!!

I posted a link earlier in this topic about a page I put together if you have any problems with the mod, I'll post it again:

But to save you time, just go to Start > All Programs > TRON 2.0 Killer App Mod > TRON 2.0 Killer App Mod Manager. Run the program. Then quit again. The manager program will reset the resolution to whatever you chose during the install each time it's run.
If you picked the wrong resolution during install, then PM me and I'll tell you how to fix it. Most likely no need to reinstall.
