Cause I get it loud and clear that everyone but me agrees DP is the only group/composer out there who is adequate/appropriate. I'm sorry for kicking a dead horse around, and I may be achieving the opposite of what I am trying to do with all the explaining, but I'm trying to demonstrate that I'm not a jerk or unreasonable, just trying to discuss.

Cool. I guess I'm just very protective of this DP - Tron arrangement since a soundtrack this memorable comes very, very rarely. It baffles me that you think another band could repeat DP's success. But whatever, carry on order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

I really am a huge fan of the T:L soundtrack too, it's definitely in my top 10 favourites, others would include some we have mentioned - BTTF, Batman, and also Dead Man by Neil Young, Bram Stoker's Dracula by Wojciech Kilar, Ennio Morricone's spaghetti westerns, Clockwork Orange by Walter(Wendy) Carlos, and then stuff like Star Wars kinda just goes without saying. I also like soundtracks which are just a compilation of songs like the Lost In Translation soundtrack, but in this situation it is an original score I think that is needed.

I should explain myself also, why I am on this particular kick- I have just been going through a fairly concentrated Amon Tobin phase. I have been a fan of him for more than a decade, but on this current tour I saw 3 shows, and I've been a bit obsessed with his recent album Isam. And like I said before- when I was at the show, the combination of the music and projection art made me feel like I was in The Grid.. seriously! I totally understand the point that was made a while back that Tobin is too experimental to do Tron, and I agree with that when looking at his recent albums, but I have heard his soundtrack work and he goes into a more cinematic style, he adapts well. Also the music at the show was different than on the albums, it had a lot more electronica and heavy dance, not so much jungle drum&bass, so it was more in the vain of sayy.. Daft Punk, at times. When I heard that stuff, and had my Tron Grid feeling, it was so amazing, goosebumps inducing, and I thought, "imagine what this guy could do with the opportunity." He's somebody I have total faith in because I think he's a modern day master like Beethoven and Mozart in their times. ...now I should probably add that it's pretty unlikely such a collaboration would happen anyway, as Amon Tobin has said he's interested in working on small independent films, and video games, not big studio films so much. Incase you missed it, the first clip of live footage I posted was a good example of some of the sound/imagery I saw at the AT shows http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYD01k6iaQc&feature=related it's sort of a mix of electronic with industrial mechanical sounds, and those latter sounds I woundn't so much associate with Tron as it's kinda more SteamPunk-y.

Anyway, I've been harping on this too long and I fear I am veering a little off-topic for this forum, please excuse me. I just hope Tron 3 actually happens. Hearing Bruce say it is happening is great but I want an official greenlight!

I understand your faith in Tobin, I see how his music could easily translate to Tron too, but whether he'll hit all the marks, I can't say.

Yea, who knows..

My experience with the Tron Legacy score was definitely that it elevated the movie. For me the music and sound design in general is a big part, maybe it's fair to say- half of the experience for me, on an emotional level. Like the music fills in the world that is only implied by the imagery, it fills in the spaces and what you can't see. I first connected to the electronica in the movie, then after listening to the soundtrack that I realized how much the orchestral stuff had sunk into my brain too. I'd like to get a copy of it on vinyl if I can find it..where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

The problem I see with DP doing the next movie is that it will sound just like a resampled and remixed version of Legacy. IMO, symphonic based soundtracks just give more of an expansive epic feel to movies and this is what T3 needs.

Say what you want about DP but I don't think they're in danger of being THAT complacent.

I'm confused, the T:L OST wasn't symphonic enough for you?abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

What is so confusing? I already made my position on the matter quite clear.

Well, I actually adore Wendy Carlos' score. As a musician, it is a monumental score and a genius exercise in counterpoint. It was the music from TRON 1982 that attracted to me to TRON in the first place.

That being said, I know that, "Main Street Electrical Parade" MOOG-style music isn't gonna fly with today's crowd. I thought the Daft Punk score was pretty good. But it didn't have much substance. Tobin is an interesting choice. He could work depending on the movie style. But he is known for very ethereal tracks. I think the feel of the Tron 2.0 soundtrack actually has an interesting vibe as it incorporates modern elements with throwbacks to the original score...and that is what I want. I want a musical score that also has the energy of Daft Punk.

And for me, the only person who could pull that off properly is Brian Transeau, aka "BT". He's proven to be musical and has already done many exciting film scores, yet is a DJ at heart.
